I didn't have a good experience, the super camera got hot while filming at 5k for 23 minutes and turned off , the screen is still very slow to touch, and sometimes it freezes, I went back and got the DJI os action 4 and I'm enjoying it.

Go pro took the gps capability out of this model. Why pay more for something with less functionality?

It is a great camera but the WiFi viewing feature had too weak of range for my needs. I ended up returning it.

Unless it is plugged in to a power source without the battery it overheats quickly and shuts off.

Great when it works. It overheated every time I used it. My GoPro 4 never did that. Apparently, after googling about this, it has been going on for a while.

Not waterproof. The warranty states that it doesn't cover water damage and that it won't cover water damage because the user may not close the door properly. If you do close the door properly, is there still a chance of water getting in? Why is it marketed and sold as waterproof if it isn't?

The product does as advertised. But the accessories that you buy separately don't perform as advertised. I've never purchase go pro products in my life. Well I'm a disabled veteran on a low fixed income. I purchased 2x go pro hero black 2x go pro plastic encasing I purchased 2x car mounts And i purchased 1 of the hand holders for the go pro I was going to use this to try to generate extra revenue since i only get disability. The mounts claim to handle speeds of up to 150mph. I setup one car as a test run and did some video recording with some buddies and the thing falls off my car. I did everything properly to make sure it was installed correctly. It fell off, and I lost the go pro, the mount, and the encasing. They didn't care to help. They have like a D or F rating on Better Business Bureau

Not worth the money. Crappy picture earlier models had a better quality picture.

Pretty terrible. I can’t record outside for more than 20minutes without the go pro overheating

over heating issue everything i use it I know it been hot these past few days but the camera always turns on I don't have it in direct sunlight but it still manages to overheat I did notice after the camera says its overheated the battery drains

Picked up on 8 January 2024 as I started doing videos the device would overheat and shut down it did this multiple times after getting disgusted with it? I returned it to the store for a full refund

GoPro 12 is great, but lacks battery life. So I pretty much have to use the Volta

Not as great as I was hoping for. Can't hardly use it, no app for macbook yet either to use it more easily. But, too late to return even though it was a Christmas gift according to best buy.

Great for taking videos, but does not last long due to overheating battery and unit. Shuts off after using 30-45 minutes continuously no matter what setting.

Camera failed within a week. Melted during charging.

The GoPro HERO 12 Action Camera is a quality camera that is both fun and easy to use. As someone who is new to action cams, I can say that this GoPro is very intuitive, produces excellent images and video, and is an overall solid camera. Setting up the HERO 12 was straightforward. I popped in the battery, SD card and then downloaded the GoPro Quick app.. Once you set up the app and connections, it will perform a firmware update which will take a few minutes. I have had a good experience using the app and was very impressed with everything you can do from the app. You can control the camera, power it on and off, check all your media you have created and even edit content. If you decide to subscribe to GoPro, you will unlock even more features. I'm not crazy about subscriptions, but after looking at what's included it seems worth it for someone who uses their GoPro a lot. Worth a look... The camera itself is easy to use even for someone like me who is new to GoPro. There is lots of versatility with this camera and there is a bit of a learning curve if you're a GoPro first timer. I have a lot to explore with this camera still, but I will say the Time Warp/lapse and Star Trail modes are aboslutley stunning. The battery life is pretty good for its size, but you may want to buy an extra battery or have a portable charger handy. Also, make sure you have good micro SD card with ample storage. This GoPro is a lot of fun and I plan on grabbing some accessories for any future adventures I find myself on. If you're looking for an excellent action camera you really can't go wrong with the HERO 12! Definitely recommend.

I went to Jamaica for a destination wedding took everything on my GoPro and Went snuba diving day before leaving Had it attached to my chest harness and. 3/4 of the way though I had it I came up and Somehow it is now lost at sea wish the design was better when it attaches to the harness and didn’t unclip I bought the insurance wish I could of got a replacement or a discount for another on it was fine while it lasted

The Go Pro Hero 12 is an impressive 4 star camera small in size, but not in features and quality. The setup was easy. Load in batteries, attach the base, and insert an sd card. The tripod mount built into the camera is very smart onboarding of something that can be easily lost. Go ahead and download the app and follow the onscreen prompts to setup the camera. Mine connected flawlessly. Then in a few moments I was up and running. The camera is quite good. The video quality is very impressive. The black backgrounds look good. The colors are rich.They do not wash out. The camera stabilization is very good too. I was worried because of its small size that video shaking would be common. It is not. High definition video is terrific. Simply amazing.The camera can record video in multiple modes. One being recording in vertical mode which seems to be the best way to shoot video for social media (according to my neice- who knows social media well). The photos are very good too. The video recordings can last up to 75 minutes shot in high definition. I have only shot videos in short order. 5 minutes to 30 minutes or so. The slow motion feature is amazing. The battery life is excellent. This is so important to a high quality feature rich device. I have not yet recorded fast action videos, but feel that the Go Pro Hero12 reacts extremely well in non fast action videos. Something to consider is that as you learn these features you can put your camera in an easy mode which might appeal to the average user more readily. The features allow a pro to do so many things that the average user may find them unnecessary. The 2 minor things thar make me rate at 4 star vs 5 star is the app which I find somewhat difficult to take all in. I have only had the go pro for about a week so perhaps with more time, I'll find the app more user friendly to me. The other thing that is a minor complaint is the battery/ sd card door. It is odd to open and feels like it is something that might break down the road. The last minor annoyance is the pushing of yet another subscription to save content and other features. Sorry, no. I am not adding subscriptions to a product. Overall the Go Pro Hero 12 is an excellwnt camera and I recommend it.
