Overheating problems

The biggest issue I've encountered is the battery life. It drains incredibly fast, often not lasting even 5 minutes of recording. This makes it nearly impossible to use for extended periods without constantly recharging. Additionally, the camera gets noticeably hot after just a few minutes of use. The overheating seems to trigger an automatic shutdown, and it turns off on its own even before I can get any decent footage. This is incredibly frustrating, especially when you're in the middle of capturing something important. Given these issues, I can’t recommend the GoPro Hero 12. The battery performance and overheating problems make it unreliable for regular use, and it's difficult to justify the price with these significant flaws.

I was on sale at Best Buy for a great price. I am sure it will be a great camera according to the articles I have read about it.

I guess they can say whatever they want to make a sale.
