I bought the GoPro expecting a better recording experience from my iPhone, I have been severely disappointed and completely regret buying this 500$ torture device. Issues so far: Battery barely lasts 40 mins on “highest” recording resolution, device overheats? Zoom and resolution in general is terrible. GoPro app is cumbersome and expensive.

One-star rating for Best Buy. Item placed by carrier in the center of the front yard, visible from the street as per delivery photo. Resulting in item being stolen. Best Buy made the decision to decline a refund or exchange.

The Go Pro Hero 12 is a remarkable action camera. The camera has phenomenal resolution for images and videos. The battery lasts quite a bit longer than other action cameras that I have used usually they only last about an hour but this one seems to last quite a bit longer than just an hour at least 50% longer. Overall it has a beautiful sturdy design. The fact that I can connect it to my headphones over Bluetooth is amazing. It was beyond simple to set up, charge the batteries, get the app on your phone, and once the camera has turned on (I did this while it was charging), begin the setup process. The live view from your phone is slightly delayed, but not by enough to make a difference. It works flawlessly. Overall I would highly recommend any of the Go Pro Hero cameras but especially this one, because they have really stepped up their game in the action camera world. I'm very happy with the camera and I look forward to continuing to use it in conjunction with my other cameras to produce content.

Go pro has figured out how to create a highly portable high-quality camera built tough for the elements. Whether you like to vlog or use it out in the elements, its amazing quality is perfect for on the go and it’s highly versatile utility is what sets it apart from most other cameras. The build quality is excellent. You have a hard plastic encloser with rubberized edges around the front and screen on the back. The back screen looks great, is responsive, and the screen is big enough you can see what you’re recording and can easily thumb through the options. The front screen is quite a bit smaller but it’s enough to provide limited information, but more importantly, there’s enough screen to make sure you’re in frame. The power button and action buttons are a bit stiff but easy to press but not easy to accidentally press. The door hinge to access the memory and battery compartment is very stiff. I imagine this is to help with the water resistance, but it takes quite a bit of finger strength to work it loose for the first few times. The picture quality is fantastic. I took some indoor shots in a darker environment which had very good low light capture. But outdoor photos is where this shines. There is an excellent balance between warm and cool colors that look very natural. I did most of my recording in 5k 60fps, because why not? You can adjust the framing for a very wide capture albeit with a bit of fish eye effect, but I used the linear framing which worked just fine. With all the settings I’ve tinkered with, my videos have come out as MP4 which has a high level of compatibility. There are settings you can adjust which provides more flexibility in editing software, but so far, I’ve only seen MP4. The orientation lock ensures you get a stable video that stays level with the horizon. You can rotate the camera a full 360 on the z-axis and keep your picture upright. For example, if you’re using the selfie stick and walking, you have increased stabilization from bounce but also if you adjust your arm or if you need to rotate to avoid an obstacle, your shot is always in the right orientation. Setup using the GoPro Quick app was seamless and provided a quick way to get the GoPro connected to the WiFi and provide updates. You can also manage cloud storage and downloads from the app as well as controlling the functions of the camera including starting a recording or a capture, live streaming, downloading media to your phone or cloud (must subscribe to GoPro service). The screen controls are intuitive and easy to use. Options are accessed by either selecting from options on the screen on swiping from the edges of the screen. You can change modes, by swiping right or left from the edges of the screen. Swipe down for additional options and preferences, and swipe up to replay videos and view photos. Additionally there are onscreen options that allow you to change resolution, aspect ratio, frame rate, orientation, and much more. What’s great is the amount of customization if you like your videos to have a certain look or if you prefer to capture lower quality but higher frame rate for great slow-motion shots or in a quality that can be quickly uploaded to the internet. There’s a pro settings option that opens some more fine tune settings if you want to customize even further with savable profiles if you have certain settings you prefer for different environments which make switching super easy to do. The action camera bundle comes with great accessories that help make sure you can get some of the best possible footage. GoPro has a great mounting system which allows you to mount it on pretty much anything. There’s an included floating grip (selfie stick is how I would explain this to most people) and headband mount as well as a singular mount you can stick to almost any surface using the 3M sticky pad already placed on the underside. The headband is fairly comfortable. I have a bit of a large head but it fit well. My only complaint is the side adjustment sat right above my ear so it was a little uncomfortable, but not a deal breaker. The best part is they give you two batteries and two mounting screws so you can quickly switch between mounting gear and you have enough batteries included for hours of video and capture. Luckily, if you find yourself needing more batteries, I was happy to see that they do not charge overly expensive prices for their official batteries. There’s a reason a GoPro is a household name at this point. They’re fantastic camera’s that you know by name. This isn’t any exception. With a ton of features, ease of use, fantastic video quality and stability, it’s not hard to choose this as your camera on the go. This bundle comes with accessories to get you started on your action camera journey.

If this is your first time getting a GoPro, then this is a great starter kit for you. I bought this GoPro bundle so that I could record some videos for my new youtube channel, and I absolutly LOVE the bundle. The bundle itself comes with the GoPro camera, as well as some accessories for the GoPro camera, and I can honestly say that as a new GoPro customer. I like the idea of purchasing a starter kit, as it gives me the abililty to try out some accessories, while also figuring out which accessories work best, in the various settings that I will be recording in. I also like the micro SD card that is included in the bundle, as it has alot of storage, and it is perfect for recording videos on. If I were to evaluate the product more, down to the minor details, my response for each of items in the bundle, would be listed as follows: The Micro SD card: I intially had some problems setting up the Micro SD card on my computer, and I eventually came to the conclusion, that the Micro SD card adapter didn't work. As a result, I instead used my type c to Micro SD card adapter, and that seemed to resolve any issues in connecting the SD card to my computer. This was a minor issue, but it is a noticeable issue that I think samsung should look into, as there may be some customer that aren't as fortunate as I am in having a spare adapter. Go Pro Camera: I was abosultly blown away by the Go Pro camera itself. There are alot of different features on the Camera, including many different resolutions that you can record in. For example, you have the option to record up to 5K videos if you wanted to. There is also different modes on the camera, such as photo and video, and this is perfecting for intially testing the camera as a whole. Another thing I like about the camera, is that there is a screen on the back of the camera, and there is also a screen on the front of the camera. This in turn helps make it easer for the user to record, which I like. There are also some other features in the camera, that just makes it worth to to buy this camera as a whole. Go Pro Batteries: I like the two batteries that came with the Go Pro. Both of them work, both are rechargable, and the quality is excellent. I also like the tap on the end of the batteries, as those tabs make it easier to extract the battery if you need to. Go Pro Handler: I like the handler along with its attachment screw that came with it. The Camera holder quality is in good standing, and it is perfect if you need a something to hold your camera, while you are using in a setting where you need to hold the camera. I also like the wrist strap as well, it is a perfect security measure, in case you were to drop the holder itself. Head strap: I like the head strap with its attachtment screw. The head strap is perfect in a setting where you want to use the camera, but you don't want to use stand or the handler. I also like the the tiny bubbles that are inside of the head strap, as it helps to provide grip an object that needs it. I can also say that the strap is high quality, and the attachment screw as works for the strap as well. Case and everything else: The Case is very high quality, and I like how thick it is. I will say that the case is perfect for instances where you make accidently drop the camera, it helps protect camera, along with all of its accessories. I also like the various warrenties and manuals that come with the Go Pro, including the quick starter guide that comes with it. The quick starter guide is perfect for first time customers, and it guides the customer in a step by step visual on how to install the camera. Overall, I am impressed by the bundle, and I would recommend it to anyone that is intereted in a Go Pro Starter Kit. The only thing I ask, is that samsung should look into the Micro SD card adapter, if it doesn't work, there will be problems from the customers perspective, beyond that, it is a good bundle.

Moving up from my reliable GoPro Hero 5 Black to the Hero 12 Black Action Camera Bundle has truly been a transformative experience. Bought a geek squad refurbished. Unit would move from screen to screen in menu and seemed frozen. Had to return. Disappointed.

Something is wrong with their email system. I’m not getting any emails from Best Buy. Didn’t get an order confirmation email and couldnt receive my electronic gift card.

Bought this for making training material. I found editing videos very difficult. Very complicated to use. Should have opted for something simpler.

GoPro was one of the original players in the action camera game, and they've been leading the pack ever since. The built in stabilization is so good the video results look like they were shot using a Gimbal. You can also change the video settings to horizontal, or vertical, depending on what website you want to post too.. The bundle comes with an extra battery, a floating handle that is useful for holding the camera with one hand, and can also be used for selfies, and a headband for using your GoPro in first person mode, if you want to keep your hands free while filming POV style. The GoPro 12 is another home run for GoPro, and I can easily recommend it to anyone into photography, video, selfies, youtube or other online video or photography sights etc... Maybe even pick up more than 1 so you can film from multiple points of view at the same time...

It was perfect timing that his wonderful bundle of joy was delivered right before Thanksgiving. We were heading up north to have a family reunion and the GoPro HERO12 didn’t disappoint. Taking pictures was a breeze with the 27 MP camera. The colors seemed to be true to reality with no over saturation (which, of course, can always be adjusted to your preference in editing). Note: you will need to supply your own microSD card. Video quality is VERY good, coming in at 5K resolution. More importantly, and considering the physics of using something so small (a plus) to take your videos, the image stabilization is quite impressive. I’m looking forward to using this underwater next summer. It supposedly has an underwater depth rating of 33 feet. Speaking of which, the Handler, which is supplied with this bundle, is buoyant…and one end is a bright orange, so it would be easy to find if it took an unexpected dive in the water if, for example, you left it on the rail of your bass boat and hit a ‘bump in the road.’ Just sayin’. Nope. Never happened. I swear… Everything in the GoPro HERO12’s bundle seems to be rugged in quality — and remember, you’re getting 2 batteries, headgear to mount the camera, the floating Handler, the camera, and a well-constructed case to keep it all together. Perfect.

I had been looking for a camera for me to use on family trips and my son to be able to use also. I was looking at some bigger cameras but to GoPros always piqued my interest. So I finally caved and picked this one up as we had a family trip coming up and wanted to try it out. One of the best things about GoPros is their ease of use just hit the button and your off. So as we started to get ready to leave our trip I decided I’ll give each of my kids some time with the camera filming whatever they wanted and we could later stitch it together as a family film. My kids had a blast filming. When we got to my parents house my oldest son was excited to try the headband so he could film himself and his brother playing in the backyard on bikes or on the playground whatever they could do to get cool footage. We used the camera as we visited family and after the trip we uploaded it on my computer and took a look at it. The footage looked so good the quality is great and the stabilization is amazing as my kids ran around with it the video always came out clear. These cameras are amazing and great as they can be used for so many things we can’t wait to use it on our next trip to Disneyland, and I couldn’t recommend it anymore

The GoPro cameras are amazing. They're known for their quality and resilience and the camera here is no exception! This is a great starter bundle for any adventure or activity you want to bring your camera along for. I found the head strap to be comfortable enough to wear on my bare head for 45-ish minutes without fatigue. The Handler stick is comfortable to hold and is thick enough to feel secure in your hand. Great for underwater filming or even regular vlogging. The extra battery is very much appreciated and came in handy several times. The carrying case is nice, however, I do wish it had some sort of velcro or fabric that separated different portions of the case so that everything has a spot to fit snugly. I am not a fan of just throwing things in a case and letting it all jumble around. The footage is crisp and I do appreciate the front-facing screen, especially when I'm recording myself. I love that I am able to get other accessories for it as well which is why I think it's such a great all-in-one package. I definitely recommend it!

I'll cover those in the Differences section. * Form factor. The Hero 12 retains many of the best attributes of the Hero 11. This includes the svelte form factor. * Quality. I've tried some of the cheaper knockoffs and I own a Hero 11. The GoPros are by and far the best quality action cameras I've used. * Ecosystem. The GoPro ecosystem and third-party ecosystem is unrivaled. Though I got the accessory bundle that includes everything to get started, I already have accessories I can re-use from my Hero 11. The bundle provides spares. * Optical video mage stabilization has always been a strength of GoPro; this model now features "HyperSmooth 6.0" auto stabilization and attitude adjustment up even while completely flipped! * Extra wide field of view sensor allows for capturing special moments in their entirety. * Touch screen controls. The interface hasn't changed between models, so the consistency is welcome. The screen does seem more responsive. * GoPro iOS app setup is fast - just be sure to enable Bluetooth. The app detects the GoPro and boom! The app continues to provide easy to quick editing capabilities including adding text, soundtrack, transitions, and filters. It even offers templating to get you on your way to making cool quick video. Transfers can be a bit slow for 4K content. Cons: * I'm not convinced this is a con. I feel like the differences between model Hero 11 and Hero 12 are noticeable, but not sure they warrant a new model. Maybe a model refresh is all that was needed. Why mention this? Well, the question really is: "are the differences worth 50-100$ (depending on when/where you buy)?" If you're buying your first GoPro HERO or an additional one for your household, I'd say YES! If you're considering an upgrade to replace a Hero 11, probably not. Differences between the Hero 11 and 12: * Some subtle design changes. For instance, it features blue accents and frameless mounting threads at the bottom. * Now supports HDR video. This will allow the camera to capture more color detail in bright and dark scenes. I have included a picture of a low light picture. * This unit features a longer battery life. From marketing: It can record up to 70 minutes of 5.3K video with HyperSmooth stabilization on, while the Hero 11 can only record up to 35 minutes¹². * Now connect to wireless devices to makes it easier to add voice overs. * Now supports more aspect ratios (9:16 and 8:7) across all video resolutions and modes. Use: We own a HERO 11. We wanted another unit so that we could film activities together, but from different perspectives. We generally get recent models so when the opportunity arose to get the Hero 12 we leapt at it. We don't use just GoPros for action shots (such as bike riding, hiking, or mounting on our Corgi). We also record videos of us cooking, videos of lightning and thunderstorms, and other activities. Why not use our phones? For one, optical image stabilization of phones is not great. Not since the Nokie 1580, anyhow. That is why we don't use them for action shots, despite phone marketing that suggests otherwise. Plus, we have to keep our phones on and trained on a subject, or exposed to the elements, etc. If this model is something you're considering and don't already own an older model, do it. You won't regret it.

The GoPro HERO12 bundle is awesome. I already have and love the Handler but don't mind having another. It's great for shooting in and around water because it floats and has a bright orange beacon like end to help find it. Also a wrist strap so you have a chance of catching it. A must have so you don't loose this expensive camera. The other accessory in this bundle is the head strap. It fits securely with little rubber bumps on the inside for grip. A nice hands free mount. Lastly you can't complain about extra batteries. As for the camera, it's everything you'd expect from a GoPro. I really like the blue specs on the outside. I have a HERO11 and it's a tough call to say it's worth the upgrade. This has some nice new features but if you're not using them then stick with the older one to save some money. If this would be your first one, check out the features and it's probably worth it coming from nothing. I think the HyperSmooth video stabilization is better. I shot some driving videos and didn't notice as many bumps in the video. I like the wide range of customization. You can have the options set very simplistic or open up pro settings. On top of that, there are a chunk of presets to use right out of the box and a starting point to tweak. The ones I really liked were from the time lapse mode. I was able to quickly capture some really cool shots with light painting and car lights. On the other side of the settings you can capture some nice slow motion. My gripe here though is that I didn't find any presets. There were lots of options of speeding things up and shutters but nothing to help you find the settings for good slow motion shots. I ended up Googling to find some good settings to try with the fps. My favorite thing about GoPros is their waterproof-ness. I like to take them to the beach or even throw them in the aquarium to film some fish. Very clear videos underwater. I noticed with extended use that it didn't seem to get as hot as my HERO11 however I did not notice an increase in battery life. There are so many settings on this thing you can really flex your imagination. This bundle is great for getting started and there are so many options for mounts and mods on these cameras. I do hate that GoPro shows these cameras out in the mud and dirt and they don't give you screen protectors. I pulled mine out of the box and cleaned off a finger print on the front display with my glasses cleaner and now there are scratches. How are they living up to the durability claims? Highly recommend getting some screen protectors as soon as you get this bundle and probably the clamp mount.

Overall, this is a really impressive camera! I’ve never used a GoPro before, so this is my first experience with the brand, and I must say it is a great camera. You always see the promotional footage from these as action shots of extreme sports, but I think it can be used for so much more. Yes, it is great for high-resolution videos that can be slowed down to 12.5% and still be perfectly clear, but the image stabilization is also amazing, and the sound through the stock microphone is also amazing. I’ve been making YouTube videos for years at this point, always on a budget. I’ve been using my cell phone with a Rode microphone attached, and this sounds just as good. It even registers as a higher volume than the Rode, making editing easier. I can imagine using this for videos of walks on the beach that people post, and taking home videos on a more unobtrusive manner than holding a cell phone in front of your face for the entire event. This package does come with everything you’ll need for the sports recording, like a headband for the camera, and a helmet mount in addition to a nice grip to hold the whole thing. I’m excited to try it with perhaps the media attachment or the external microphone connector to see if it can be improved, but overall this is an amazing camera. Looks like my channel will be in 4k or higher going forward! The only downside that I've experienced is one of the two batteries that I received in the package is completely faulty. After reaching out to GoPro about this, I've had no response for more than a week. Hopefully you won't have this issue.

What an update to the action camera scene. If you have an older Go Pro and are thinking about upgrading, you definitely want this. Video quality is excellent. Waterproof to 30-ish feet so you can take it to the lake, river, ocean, pool and catch all your shots. Multiple modes for wide or normal angle shots. Bluetooth capability for external mic or earbuds. Connected easily to Apple Airpods, Bose earbuds and a generic bluetooth lavalier microphone. Sound quality was good from all mics. Onboard microphone is decent, but suffers when getting farther away from the cam on windy/noisy days. I did have issues getting it connected to my Sena motorcycle headset. Never did work. However it paired seamlessly with the Cardo Packtalk bold. Great for attaching to a motorcycle helmet, or directly to the bike to get action shots and commentary. Has the ability to live stream, this feature worked well during testing. Video quality is amazing, focuses fast when moving. So why 4 stars? The app is buggy/glitchy. Randomly drops connection to the camera. Frequent re-starts. Worse on Apple Iphone 14 than on Samsung Galaxy S23. Best phone for connection in my test was Pixel 6 Pro. While all the phones had connectivity issues with the app, the Pixel was by far the best at staying connected. Does not come with an SD card. Be sure to pick up a good quality one. All in all it's the best action cam in my opinion and worth buying.
