Using camera with auxiliary battery

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera worked fine except it did not work using an auxiliary external battery like it claimed in the instruction manual. I have to use the battery because my videos are more than a hour. It said in the error on the screen that it needed a 2 amp supply but I was already using a larger supply. The tech from GoPro tried to help but with no success and offered to send a new camera as a replacement. Before I was to return the camera, i checked online and found out that all the cameras did this and GoPro though their "Lab" part of their website offered a software fix. I did that and it worked. I have since for the past few weeks been filming with no problems. I wish the GoPro tech had suggested that.
