They want to know who bought their items and located the customer. I don't need the sub for a camcorder. I just need a camcorder, but the update and the sub is the shady part.

Overall well, not for my use case

It works well in daylight. 5K is cool if you can handle that workflow. Has the most wide array of accessories for vlogging.

If you do purchase this, don't buy the official GoPro lenses. Buy them from amazon for quite a bit cheaper.

Good but incremental upgrade.

Haven’t explored the 240fps / 2.7k ability but maybe that’s another reason to grab one.

Overheating

Used a suction cup to mount it to the inside of the cabin. Despite it being 40-50 degrees outside, it kept overheating within minutes. A 2 hour flight got me 10 minutes of video.
