From right out of the box this hero4 black has been nothing but problematic. After several atempts of short films , less than 15 min. I cant view, edit,transfer video.only thing that works is app for phone.and that is only spoty ,sometimes it will sometimes it wont.

We also ordered the remote to go with the GoPro. It's very difficult to figure out how to use the GoPro with our laptop and iPad. We're planning to see if someone at a Best Buy store can teach us, otherwise we're returning it along with the acessories we purchased.

This is a great durable camera but if your not using it for adventure activities than I would not buy it. Depending on what smartphone you may have you may be using your phone for pictures and video and you may get the same quality if not better.

In all our reading ahead of time, we neglected to notice that there is no preview screen on the back of this camera! We simply couldn't fathom initially why that would be useful, at least for people who use the camera as we do (that is walking around cities filming the sites, or hiking, etc., not in 'action' things like mountain biking, skiing, etc). We figured later that you don't need a screen when you are just attaching the camera to a bike handlbar or a surfboard or the brim of a hat since you aren't looking at the screen during the activity anyway. But that wasn't our style for using it, so we returned it immediately and got the Hero 5

This new gopro4 has major issues... It freezes, lags and is not ready to work on the iPhone. I already sent mine back for a freezing issue and battery issue. Save money and get the gopro black.

This seems to be a very low tech device with a tiny screen hard to read, poor battery life even with extended battery, and the mounts are not flexible to be in any position.

Can not say much about the item. It was returned to Best Buy unopened. It was not suitable for my needs & I just found out after it had been purchased. If you are into sports, it might be a great item to have.

Went diving for a week in Cozumel. Bought the deeper dive housing to be safe. Worked on a few dives to 80 ft. When I came up from dive to 115 ft it had a teaspoon of water in it and was still sealed. Fail.

This camera will do great things, but as a beginner, learning all it's in and outs and downloading pictures or video is not easy!! We have lost many priceless videos, and still do not even know why!!

i liked the gopro at first but after using it and realizing that it shows in a "fish eye" rounded view that could not really be changed i decided to return it.

I love my Hero 4 Black. It's the cheapest option for 4k video on the market. I have almost all the normal accessories and have used this camera for multiple shoots. I have filmed full music videos and the resolution is really great. Being able to shoot from 480 to 4k gives you plenty of options. The ISO range is alot better than previous models. Nomatter what, low light on a go pro is difficult but if you watch some tutorials and really know how to work this camera and it's footage in post, it's a really handy camera. I absolutely, hands down, would not purchse this without the LCD screen attachment! It's an incredibly handy attachment to have. Also get extra battery packs and chargers. Shooting HD and UHD will drain that battery. I have 5 batteries for mine. Also, a little tip. If you are a student, go to the student discount deals section on the best buy page. You can generally find a discount on action cams. Also, PRICE MATCH, PRICE MATCH, PRICE MATCH! Best Buy has been nothing but great about matching the prices I have found online. So find it cheaper, take your business to Best Buy, and pick it up today.

better than the hero 5, but the best value is in the 4 silver. the black model will overheat in 4k mode. i returned it and got a silver model
