I bought my camera so that i could take some nice movies on my vacation. The camera will not allow me to playback my movies or view the the pictures.

I have use this camera for videos while playing the piano, and the sound quality is not so good. If you use it for sports it's fine.

Well been using GoPro hero 4 black for about a month. This is my 4th one because of one problem or another. I would not recommend this product due current on ongoing issues. On 4K setting you are lucky to get 20 min record times. When using IPhone app to record popping sound occurs in the audio; so if you want to see what you are recording you will need to purchase the external touch screen. Build quality isn OK at best and not were it should be. Most of these problems are not being resolved by GoPro but simply being brushed aside. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Issue with the Go Pro software where only the audio is working but no video but video works using different media player.

It took a while to figure out how to change wide angle Settings. Pictures only in wide angle, some times anoying.

I should've waited a few months for the hero 5 to come out wish the Best Buy worker told me that. Not happy;(

I am disappointed with the freezing display. I wish I could return it, but more than 15 days passed already.

very difficult to connect with the cellphone app and very difficult to control.

Does not come with a battery and does not come with a memory card

I wanted something to keep my family memories alive in the future.

My iPhone takes better videos than this stupid thing.

Bad choice for a gift, even for a very tech person.

Overall it's ok, I was just expecting great not same quality as my iPhone, and Bluetooth stinks wifi connectivity is spoty. Still playing with it, been on a couple bike rides and was Ok. Sorry just not thrilled will never buy another one.

I was a long time user of the GoPro, but poor video stability and no 4k as advertised on my 3 black was a disappointment, so I purchased a Sony AS100. Stability and color definition went through the roof. So I pick up the 4, charge the new style battery (big mistake), and start filming. The Sony still has better color and image stabilization, but the 4k will look better on a true 4k display (which I don't have). A few major frustrations, it needs an update right out of the box. Try using it on IOS 8. And the firmware updates arguably make this a 3 Black ++, as they were long over due for that camera. The worst part is I CAN'T USE MY OLD BATTERIES??? To be honest, I don't care what updates they made, unless they see through buildings, and catch criminals in the act, the updates don't justify the $100 jump in price. Going public in this case just created a situation where greed exceeds innovation. Mine is going back today, and while not BestBuy's fault I hope others follow suit, or sales are so slow that they have to drop the price back down to it's competitive $300 price point. Unfortunately technologies create cults #Apple/Windows, XBOX/Sony, etc., and most of the GoPro crowd will go blindly into that good night, not caring anything more than their GoPro reflects the newest name.

Camera reads SD ERROR after 5 min of recording. Also the person that sold it to me failed to tell me about the GoPro 5 with the display on the back.

Image quality is excellent. Have not yet encountered issues with overheating when recording in 4K, but temps are cool. The menu structure and the 3 control buttons on the camera takes a little getting used to. A detailed manual is not included and the on-line version could be better. For playback direct to a TV via cable, control functions are limited; better control with the app. However, if using the app via WiFi, there's no mini-HDMI output to the TV. Wide angle views give some fisheye distortion. Get the dual battery charger with the extra battery! PC application seems slow, but have barely used it. You cannot download it with IE9 [known bug]; use Chrome or something else. I wish the lens area of the housing had a raised edge/guard around it; I worry about scratching it in tight cave passages. If you do bump the camera, it faithfully records the noise with lots of volume. Brightness of video in a cave is good when using a high power headlamp [800-1000 lumens], but use a flood setting as a spot setting creates an overexposed spot. The curved adhesive backed bracket does not fit the curvature of my helmet where you would want to mount the camera; still need to improvise a better mounting. The forward facing LEDs may show up in the video in dark environments or extreme close ups, but electrical tape makes for an easy fix.

The mic in the hero 4 black is so sensitive that it records wifi frequency. If you plan on using the remote or the app you will hear a helicopter noise. Google it. GoPro knows about the noise and they choose to not recall them. They told me to not use the app. Google helicopter noise on GoPro.

Don't have a screen And i don't like................

The picture is so blurry. Can't tell if I'm doing something wrong or it's the camera

This product is not useful for what o was looking for. Too expensive
