The Hero4 black exceeded my expectations in video quality and ease of use. The camera is probably overkill for most but the extra $100 was worth the 4K videos. There currently is a problem when connecting via the USB port. Sometimes the camera will freeze up when automatically deleting the pictures once the transfer is complete. I'm assuming this will be fixed in their first software update.

Battery life is a joke. Screen (purchased separately) turns off and then you can't see what you are recording. Have had problems getting camera to link to tablet for viewing/controlling. Was expecting better video quality... Yes I know this camera has 4k... But that sucks up memory so if you downgrade the quality you pay the price. If you are looking for a camcorder, this is not the camera for you... Only buy if you plan to use it for the advertised sport/adventure capabilities.

I bought this new model of the Go-pro for my husband for Christmas. He LOVES it! He had the original one which has been great - we've used it on the boat, scuba diving, biking, etc. He was wanting the new one looking forward to some of the newer features.

This camera surprised me! As a pro photographer I never thought video could give me such diversity but it does. My action shots are flawless and beautiful...could not be happier. My video is impeccable and I've slready shot 4 promotions. Need I say more?

If you enjoy outdoors, scuba, snorkeling, cycling, racing or just jumping around... this is the camera that allows keep the memories fresh and it offers a chance lo live it again! awesome field of view, great settings, awesome quality... just the best!

This camera has features upon features. I am still learning about all the things it can do. I would recommend getting the remote or using the app on your smarty phone. This will save memory.

Have a Hero 4 Silver also. When using battery backpacks in waterproof housings, the camera exteriors are identical and indistinguishable from one another - I have to mark them to discern which is which. H4 BLK drains batteries quicker - backpacks and spares are essential for my use. Have all the accessories (of the ones I need), Current favorite - The Strap.

I purchased this go pro hero 4 black after owning the original go pro for several years. While on vacation in Florida I wanted more clearer videos of my family and purchased it. I've go no regrets, in fact I've bought more accessories for both.

Obviously, one of the best cameras for taking action photos of yourself, especially if your in or around the water. I do a lot of wakeboarding and the action shots are great. Also, the ability to view real time on a smart phone is really cool.

Go pro is still the best action camera. Still ahead of competition with video quality. 4k is very good. The only thing i wish it had is stabilization like sony action camera. But i think the reason, they do not use it, because it effects video quality. It alway could be stabilized with software. Recomend to everyone. Pay little more and get gopro if you want the best video.

My first GoPro and very satisfied with all accessories that are available which will make traveling and kayak trips all the more memorable. Stills and video of highest quality and on-line instructions very helpful, detailed and easy to follow.

I received this as a Christmas present. The size is great to capture moments of our grandchild. I was afraid of her to handle the camera; however we got some great action shots with her in control of the camera. Wish I had it last year!

The GoPro was easy to set up and is easy to use. I would definitely recommend it to someone that is looking for an easy way to film when action is involved. So many options of how to hold it or wear it. The dog even likes it :)

We had the gopro hero 3 before but broke it by accident. So we've bought this as replacement. I dont see much difference really but ive always liked how this camera takes good photos if u know your angles and lighting. Good buy

The video and sound quality is great. There is also a neat option to minimize the fisheye effect via GoPro software. The camera is also really easy to use, but it can get a little over heated in extended uses.

I bought this to have a small camera that can withstand most environments. This camera is awesome. I have so far used it to record our snowmobile adventures and will shortly be taking it with me to Europe for my back pack adventure.

This is a great product which has many uses. We took it on vacation and the family loved it. The underwater pictures and videos were fantastic! I recommend adding the GoPole which is another great accessory for water activities.

The GoPro hero 4 Black edition is the best I've ever seen from a camera this small. If you have any of the previous models, you should sell it and buy this one. I use this for Arial photography, it's installed on my DJI phantom 2.
