Great Image Quality but Needs Update
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am currently using my GoPro with the DJI Phantom 2 quadcopter with the Zenmuse H3-2D gimbal. (I know it's old but plan on upgrading soon) I love the video quality and the ability to shoot 4k at 30fps. Big difference from the Hero3+. The only issue is that I can't view fpv video because apparently the Hero 4 Black does no longer transmit video via the back serial docking port, but exclusively via micro USB on theside. This creates compatibility issues with any current gimbal. Fix this and it is the perfect tool for aerial photography!

Great Camera with Fantastic Video footage

I was back and forth between the Hero4 Black and Silver, but decided on the Black for better video resolution. The 4K to 1080 differences are definitely evident, even while not watching on a 4K tv. I did have to give up the LCD screen to get the better resolution, so if you'd get more use out of previewing the video over the highest resolution then maybe go with the Silver.
