ive taken this beast kayaking, on my motorcycle, for flag football and hiking so far with various attachments. I can't tell you how much I love this camera. Make sure you go with the proper memory card and I would recommend at least 64gb if you plan on taking videos. Catches those big air moments in the sand dunes perfectly!!! No complaints from this owner.

This is a great version. The image quality is very clear. Unfortunately the battery doesn't last long at all. Buy extra batteries.

Great camera, hidef and suitable for filming anything.

On release date: October 5th - The camera is not ready. It will not perform some of the features that the manual says. For instance: Nightlapse will only do 15 seconds and higher...it will not go into lower settings (the manual says: 2, 5 and 10 seconds). The App is not ready for the camera either - Very buggy. The firmare shipped is .04 I'm sure they will release a new firmware update and fix these issues. The 4k/30fps is amazing of course.

This camera exceeded my expectations. Gopros are awesome and the 4K is a huge plus. Love the versatility of this little gem.

I bought three, one for each of my boy's graduation this year and I could not have picked a more perfect gift for their active lifestyle. It has even encouraged more out of doors activities instead of video games and movies.

It does all I expected. It a lot of fun and easy to use.

I Wish that it had an option to zoom in or zoom out!.

Having to replace a stolen GoPro, it was a sure thing to get another. Even so, I researched other options and realized if you want a GoPro, buy a GoPro. The 4 is great in every aspect, with good upgrades and updates.

Great camera, period. However, for advanced users there are some drawbacks... 1. previewing the shot on your phone only works with certain resolutions. Once you start using high res or hfr you can no longer see the shot as its being recorded. 2. inconsistent. We two of these for a 3D shoot.We manually set the controls for each. custom iso, shutter, codec... the whole shabang. However, in post we noticed the shots still exposed differently... strange. With the new gopro 5 black that was just announced, I would only see this as a good buy at $200 max.

The only thing I got is about the SD card . Didn't read the manual but wasn't sure if it says anything about getting a high quality SD card for it. Well that's what I figuredo because I can't capture 4K with certain SD cards

I got this camera for my finance and he absolutely loves it ! He is an adventure junky so it's absolutely fun to take Sking and hunting (well next year since hunting season is over for now). It catches a wide spectrum of everything around you and personally I haven't used anything like if before. It's still new for us so we have a lot more experiencing to do with it. Anyone purchasing this will definitely need all the extras to use it to its capacity and you will definitely need extra batteries, at least one extra.

The camera takes wonderful pictures. But setting it up in its waterproof case and connecting it to the body strap over the chest should be simple. Indeed it is, BUT, the pictures come out UPSIDE DOWN. You first have to invert the screw holder connection. It doesn't say that anywhere, but if you don't do it all the pictures you take are upside down. I met two other people on a trip to Bora Bora who had the same problem with upside down pictures. I don't know why they don't sell it to you so it's ready to go OR why the Best Buy salesman didn't mention it. He also sold me batteries for the GoPro 3+, which do not fit into the GoPro4. The sales people need a bit more training. If I had to buy something technical again, it wouldn't be at Best Buy.

I have the 3+ black already and it isn't nearly as easy to get through the menus as the new 4 black. The video looks amazing. Unfortunately the video was so good my desktop couldn't keep up with it. I used it underwater, zip lining, riding in a helicopter, and recording beautiful sunsets in Hawaii. This was the best memory catcher I've ever purchased. I love it so much more than past video cameras. The field of view is more of a normal field of vision so you catch all that you are looking at not just a narrow field.

Getting my gopro hero 4 black at best buy was the best deal. It's really great that best buy rewards you for being loyal to them. Which helped me get my go pro and memory cards and accessories for such a great deal! Thanks!

I have owned all the GoPro Heroes since the first one and this one out shines all of them by a long shot. Love all the new features.
