Bought the HERO4 Session as my bday/xmas present because I wanted to see what the GoPro was all about before committing to the GoPro Hero4. My kids and I have been having lots of fun with it inside and outside the house. Love the fact that it doesn't weigh much and can be attached to practically anything with the right attachment. We have used it on remote control cars, on the head for nerf gun fights and for recording Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training session. Workers great with the app from GoPro to see what you are recording and can easy be downloaded to you phone via the app.

Bought for my 14 yr old sons birthday. He LOVES it. It's our first GoPro product and we are very happy. Videos are awesome and camera is easy to use!

This camera is so small it almost disappears. I'm not sure what kind of special magic the engineers at GoPro used to keep the weight down so much, but I'm guessing the low weight is what is causing people grief? I'm not a GoPro fanboy, and for the longest time just could not find a good user for one. Recently sent my Hero 4 Silver to my Daughter, and replaced it with the Session. It will take some time to get used to the single button, but that one button slams the three buttons on my Silver. It I had used it every day like many out there, it would have become second nature, but I use it once every couple weeks. So the single button is very welcomed. Love the still photo quality, the slo-mo is cool, but have not used the video yet. I hope a deeper water proof case comes along soon.

This is so fun. We take it on hikes while camping, riding jet skis, atvs and snowmobiles. It has a great picture and it's so easy to use. We want to get the dog strap so we can see a day in the life ;)

Go big or go home. This is not the thing to buy for best quality.

After reading about 1000 reviews I was nervous about the "image quality", compared to the silver. Finally decided to give it a chance due to saving money. After using this a few times I can tell you the image is outstanding. It looks very clear and crisp, underwater is also fantastic. Im sure someone could point out how it could be better but I definitely can't tell. If you want to save $200 and don't want to worry about a waterproof case, this is the way to go.

I found that the size of the hero's to be a bit on the big side. The Session hit the nail on the head for me. great size and great features.

its simple and glad i didn't spend the original $400. Camera is good for someone who has another Gopro or is more into short clips and action sports. battery is limited but the convenience of the size makes up for it.

I first had the GoPro LCD LCD.....$299....thinking I needed the LCD screen to crop, etc. NOT. All you need is this one, which is MUCH more compact and gentle on the eye than the other GoPro models. They price matched it for me and I got it for $179, too...so def could not beat it for that price. I exchanged the LCD for this one and got money back that I used for accessories. This is much lighter, and simple to use. It has amazing video and audio quality, as well I really like the one touch recording feature. Simple is good!!

i'm needing a high quality compact action camera for the drone that I'm building. The normal size is what has been used in the past, but this smaller size will be a nice improvement.

i had the silver 4 and the session, loved the session. easy to use and great quality

bought this for our daughter as a Christmas gift. Used it on vacation and it seemed to work great. Will need to buy accessories to make it more useful.

I wonder why it's on sale....I've had to return and replace twice. Pros = $199, size and black. Perfect for my Motorcycle helmet. Cons = Overheats and doesn't hold a charge. Keeps turning off after a few seconds. Sometimes, won't turn off even when pushing power button. Won't cycle thru Apps. I hope 3rd time is the charm.

This is a good adventure and outdoor camera like surfing, biking and snowboarding. But I am not going to recommend it for "point and shoot" type of taking videos as it is fisheye point of view. The audio is horrible. Too pricey. I would probably get the older version. The only difference, this is just small.

I absolutely love this GoPro action camera. It is very lightweight and simple to use so it doesn't get in the way much and turns on with a quick push of the record button. I am very happy with it.

The camera has very good picture quality and pretty easy to use. The problem that I find is that it doesn't have a monitor, so, you really don't know what you're filming and if you're filming.

I was amazed at the picture quality and the versatility of this item. This is my second GoPro and this one is far superior to the Hero 3.

I use my GoPro when I go surfing and snorkeling. Quality is very low. Get the H4 Silver. Using the app to make changes wastes lots of time. Not worth $400 maybe $250.
