Not reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this gopro after my brother got the gopro3 and loved it! So I was thrilled to get the 4. During the month I owned it, I would test it out and get to know it by practicing. I never took it out on a trip. As I was learning how to use it the settings button would freeze up.. not allowing me to change settings for the mode I was currently on. Also, when this happened the touchscreen would freeze as well. I had to take the battery out and put it back in to "reboot" and get everything working. This happened to me about 3 times and again, I wasn't even really using the camera yet.. only testing out the settings to try to learn it. The software on it was all up to date as I learned this could cause the issue. Long story short, I returned it. I read online many others were having the same issue and I was scared to just exchange it. I kept imagining myself swimming or hiking and then the button freezes. This would be frustrating when out on a trip somewhere. I would recommend getting the gopro3. My brother has not had issues with that one. I opted for an Olympus underwater camera instead because I realized I don't need all the bells and whistles of the gopro. Just do more research than I did before purchasing this product. Good luck!

We use it for skiing, mountain biking and sports car racing and snow play. It captures the momentum and excitement experienced by the individual (4 years old to 45 years old) wearing the device. Trust Best Buy with a device like this.

overall awesome
