I would go with 3+ black

Once you use it for a few times, you get a feeling of the shooting range, so the screen is really not necessary. Would go for 3+ black because it is lighter and without the screen, battery lasts longer.

LCD Screen blacks out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my Hero 4 Silver today (1/4/15) and got home and charged the battery and tried to record a video. 1st video was fine. On the 2nd video, the LCD screen turned a purple/pink color and then went black. Video shows this color change and then also turns black. Reading reviews on other sites, this is a common issue with this camera. People have been returning this model and spending the extra $100.00 for the Hero4 Black without the LCD screen. I thought having the LCD screen would be a convenience since looking at the little 1/2" x 1/2" screen on the front is a strain for my older eyes. I'm not so sure I want to spend the extra $100.00 for the Hero 4 Black.

Great Live Action Cam
