This is a very good quality action camera. I expected more, but the battery is the only bad thing about it.

I use this camera for sporting events and couldn't be happier with quality. I would highly recommend this camera for the price difference between this and the next GoPro. I would definitely recommend taking the leap.

I think this camera is great for back ups for professionals or for concert go-ers on a budget looking to capture great video and pictures at a low price from a renowned company. Or hey, were going on vacation and want a cool camera to take under water or on a hike. here you go.

I purchased my Hero 4 for my trip to Peru and it never failed failed to capture those moments in Machu Picchu and the rest of the breathtaking views. Not much of action but the wide angle views are able to capture the sceneries better than a flat view from a camera. Priceless!

My fiancé and I took this camera on our cruise, and used it underwater. It took great video, and pictures!

I bought my Hero 4 from Best Buy online. The first one would not complete the software installation properly so I called GoPro tech. They were friendly and advised I replace it. I took it back to a local Best Buy and the issued a replacement with no hassle. Since then everything has been fine with it. Video quality is great and the editing software is pretty simple ( just a bit time consuming to convert files). Overall I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Best purchase I've made at bestbuy, I got this silver edition because of the screen on the back of the GoPro and the microphone option. I'm usually shooting in 1080p and do all my edits on my phone so the black version and 4K frame rate didn't really matter to me. I don't always use the screen on my GoPro but there are situations when I am using it with a stabilizer and don't want to have a second screen/phone to hold. Also for quick preview is awesome without having to connect to a phone or computer just to review your shots/video right after its been filmed. Don't forget to wait for deals as well, bestbuy usually have price drops with free accessories which is a major score. All in all you can't go wrong, just don't go lower than the silver model. If you really have to, get a session.

This is just a great camera overall. At night you will probably have to YouTube some video like I did for the right settings but other then that it's great. It's very clear. Just make sure you buy the extra battery. Also easy to edit and put your video right on YouTube.

I was originally going to get the Go Pro Hero 4 Session but for the same price you can get this one. The hero 4 silver has better recording capabilities and more functions than the session. Well worth the investment if your looking for a 4k action camera. Highly recommended.

Light weight. Easy to use. Waterproof in case and indestructible. My son took it on an Outward Bound experience in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The owner's manual that comes with the camera is not so great. Better instructions and visuals can be found online and on youtube.

With the birth of my daughter coming up, I needed to purchase a video camera. While smartphones have replaced point and shoot and most camcorders, I wanted something that wouldn't fall victim to the elements. And I'm a tech geek. I was in the process of pricing out a hero 3+ with the LCD backpack when I ran into rumors that the Hero 4 may have an LCD display built in. I don't plan on using this camera for death-defying activities, so an LCD display is a major feature for me. The video on it is so crisp and sound so clear that it's amazing it can come out of such a small camera. I look forward to using it as my daughter grows.

I already own a hero for black edition. Wanted to pick up a second one for going on snowboarding trips. I almost prefer this one more just because of the screen. It makes lining up your shots that much easier .

Bought the camera for use on a fishing trip to northern Canada. It was used to capture the exciting action of catching Northern Pike. Three different mounts were used over a week long action filled trip. I used the head mount, chest mount and clamp mount. Each provided excellent video. My hands were always free to handle the fishing rod and netting the fish. Two weeks later I used the camera to video a special event at our church. The results were excellent. BTW, Best Buy matched the price on Amazon for the camera and all the mounts and the Best Buy salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process of purchasing of the camera. He provided first hand knowledge of the camera features and described the differences between different Go Pro camera models. I'm now a Go Pro camera fan and very happy with my Best Buy purchase.

I bought this to do some recording up on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, and i am very pleased with the quality of the video. I used it on the rapids, and the camera maintained proper focus even with water drops on the lens, which is awesome. Would recommend to anyone.

There is no image this camera can't capture. With the available accessories you can mount it to anything you ride or drive to document your travels. I use it on my drone to take awesome video. Very easy to use.

I bought this for my husbands Father's Day gift. He loves it! It's a lot more clearer than the first one he had. It's nice that we can hear audio at playback and we can connect it to our iPad over wifi. He appreciates being able to watch it back right away on the screen.

I had an older GoPro and loved it but needed something that with a screen so I could see what I was shooting... This little gem is perfect! Right after I bought it and messed with it a bit, I had a road trip to Vegas so I set it to time-lapse at varying speeds and recorded the whole trip. Next trip was to Europe and I tried the photo option as well as video... I got some great stuff. Downloaded the app and was able to see what the camera was seeing and made adjustments accordingly. Only problem I had is neither my phone nor ipad is equipped to edit the 4k video. Other than that, love it.

The size of the camera is small and easy to handle. I was surprised that because of the size of the camera and the fact that it does not possess image stabilization, my photos and videos don't have that much motion noise capture. I'm highly satisfied with picture quality.
