I purchased this to use on camping trips, hikes, and road trips. We have bought the large clamp to go with it so I can clamp it to my pocket book or to one of the handles in the car and use it as a dash camera. In every situation that we have used it we have loved the quality of the video we got. We are going to try it on a drone we got for Christmas as well. I am excited about all the many uses of this little camera with Big possibilities.

the hero4 silver is perfect for most people needs.. the touch lcd on the back of the camera as well as the bluetooth & wifi functions of this camera are awesome.. please read up about taking it underwater /blurry focus.

No problems in the water for surf videos. No problems when hiking in the mountains. Great video quality!

Records an excellent hi-def video and takes awesome pics. Make sure to get a fairly large memory card.

We bought this to record our vacation and haven't had the heart to put it down. The touch screen is a little hard to operate and drains battery faster than your expect from other similar devices, hence -1 Star

I upgraded from the Hero 3 Black to the 4 Silver. This Camera has way better picture quality and options.

Love this little and I do mean little camera. I'm not using it for action shots like some people buy it for. I do dog rescue and transports and film my runs for the new to be owners and the rescue groups. I have the camera mounted on a tripod that sits on my console. Get some very precious moments to share with others and then also remind me of the day.

I've tried the Hero 2, 3, 3+ and 4 basic and I've finally found a version of the GoPro series that doesn't have horrible battery life, lock up, corrupt data or other nonsense. I'm very happy with this camera, it meets all my day to day needs for filming the kids to capturing mountin biking excitement.

Video quality and Photos are very good. I used it on my vacation in PCB Florida during spring break.
