The Go Pro Hero Black 5 is awesome; easy to use; It has great videos and images. Love the voice command option.

I also have a hero black 3+ that I have decided to keep as well, but I decided to get the newest model now. I really like that it has voice control and does not need a housing when getting in the water. It also works with almost all the accessories I already have for my other go pro. These cameras are really fun and I get a lot of use out of mine. Comes in handy for vacations especially when you need pics or video and don't want to carry a lot of extra weight of a DSLR.

With the improve of its WiFi, GoPro is so easy to use with the phone. It is very durable, fun to use. The only problem is sometimes it can't recognize the phone, takes a while to re-connect.

I have seen 100's of GoPro videos on YouTube. Yet, I was still amazed at how clear and colorful the action shots and underwater pictures & movies were when we went snorkeling. 1 or 2 of the best videos we took had some jitter right in the middle of the movie (about 2.5 minutes into the 5 minute shot). A bit of a bummer. Don't know if it's the memory card that came with it is not fast enough or a glitch in the camera itself. No biggie, I'm not making a professional movie. Also, the first dozen videos had a spot of water on the lens in different areas on each video. So we learned quickly to constantly wipe the camera off between and/or during each shot. Not the camera's fault. But important to review videos you think were *great* every now and then, to make sure the rest you take DO come out good as you would expect. Bottom line, amazing pictures and video. Simply amazing. And for the price, a great value. This little camera easily takes better shots than my bulky $500-$750 digital camera from 10 year ago. Standard setup out of the box, the GoPro NOT have a fisheye look to it as I've seen in older video. Very nice looking shots. And the GoPro is super portable. Very, very happy with it!

I bought this to record racquetball matches. The linear view that this gopro has eliminates the fisheye look that you usually get in other gopro cameras. I believe the gopro Hero 5 is the first camera to have this feature. With a 32gb card using 1080p and 60fps the battery gives up before the card is full. I'd recommend another battery and a 2nd card if you plan to use this camera for more than just 2 hours. Excellent quality video, very happy with this camera.

Gopro what an awesome camera/video recorder ever. was very hesitant of buying this item mainly for the cost and not knowing too much of this item from personal experiences with it. after buying it and using it for a little bit I absolutely loved it. the quality of the video and pictures is amazing, and very user friendly. the only down fault is I wish the battery's would last a little bit longer than they do. overall would definitely recommend this product.

I'm a first time GoPro buyer so I didn't have anything to compare it to but after all the research, this seemed like it would be the easiest and best all around camera to buy. It's a great camera and easy to use. My only complaint is that it overheats easily. The camera gets pretty hot (even when not in the case) after just 5-10 min of use. I have considered asking GoPro about it and seeing what they say. I took it back to Best Buy and was told that several people has brought it back for the same reason. That being said, I took it to Puerto Rico and it was great. The casing could be stronger and you want to be careful not to scratch the lens but it was a pretty sturdy camera.

This is my first go-pro and it's awesome. The video is so clear and using it to videotape me going off-road in my jeep is just what I wanted, now to learn how to use it correctly !!!!

This is the first GoPro I have ever purchased. Overall, works nicely and fun to shoot footage during travels. Compact size makes it easy to travel with, but would recommend a case/protective bag. Had a few issues where the camera would feel like it is overheating. After removing the battery, camera cooled down. Also, ran into issues where camera would lag and take longer than it should to power off. Wish the battery life was longer, bought an extra battery to compensate. A bit inconvenient to have to take off the case to be able to access the charging port. The settings and touch screen took a little while to get used to, but should get easier with more use.

The GoPro Hero 5 was able to meet all my expectations and even exceed some. My favorite part was the ability to use my phone as a remote and to review photos or videos. This allows me to capture footage without purchasing another remote for $50.00 or more. The only drawbacks I came across were some connectivity issues with the GoPro App that may or may not have been my phone's fault and battery life. The camera takes clean, crisp photos and smooth videos. The interface is very easy to operate. I've never owned a digital camera or action camera before but was able to easily navigate and operate the camera.

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He absolutely loves it and takes it with him everywhere we travel. It's been fun using the camera and making slideshows with the app.

I had been debating whether to buy this camera for couple weeks before I clicked the place order button. I have a DSLR, a premium point & shoot, a waterproof camera and, of course, from iPhone 4 to iPhone 7 Plus somewhere in the house. I even left it in the box for three days after it was delivered to let myself cool down. But then at the forth day, I talked to my wife, hey, why not just try it out, we can still return it if we don't like it. Fast forward... Two days later, my 7 year old daughter was wearing it with head strap to record the build of the gingerbread house with her 4 & 2 year old brothers. I sat back relax knowing they won't do harm to the camera, or even they intend to do it, the camera can still survive. Well, the beautiful gingerbread house was built and the camera was full of sugar and cream, no worries, let's take it to a bath, and this is talking about another fun time for the kids! Now I'm looking forward to our Aspen Christmas trip with GoPro and the DSLR, expecting a lot of fun and memories to bring home. This is my first GoPro, I know it won't be the last. Yes it's picture quality is not as good as the DSLR, and there're other water and shock proof cameras out there with only half of the price, but they're not wearable. GoPro just hit the sweet spot of the combination of price, 'kid' proof and versatile. I can't be happier. Oh, I don't do extreme sports btw.

This camera is so small and takes such clear videos. I just love watching the videos my son creates because the clarity is as if I were there myself and you can take it anywhere!

The Hero 5 is outstanding. It is the best GoPro yet. Video is unbelievable, touch screen is so useful for instant playback and to control the settings. Connect with your smartphone to control while mounted outside a vehicle. Don't consider other GoPros, just get this one. You'll be happy you did.

I took this gopro on a trip to central america and it took fantastic footage in rough jungle conditions. Attached it to the top of our dune buggy and it took great POV footage.

I upgraded from the GoPro hero 2 and I’m glad I did! I bought this before a trip to Bali and it help up so great. I read reviews on not much battery life but it seemed to last a reasonable amount to me. I love having the touch screen and a screen in general to review my photos. My main reason for this purchase was to be able to shoot in RAW format so that I could edit without losing clarity.

The GoPro 5 is definitely a step up from previous generations while also compatible with the majority of previous generation accessories. Battery life is subpar so I would recommend multiple batteries but they charge in a couple hours. Overall given the lower price than the hero 4 it is definitely a great value

Bought this before going on a trip to Thailand and it was absolutely worth it. The video quality throughout the whole trip turned out excellent and I could not be happier

I took the camera four wheeling rafting,rock climbing, dog jumping anything else you could imagine getingt wet and dirty. This held up well great video and fun pictures.

Solid picture quality. The touch function menu takes some getting used to. A bit expensive. Like the case free waterproof capability. All in all a great little camera.
