First of I am a GoPro user and they engineers hit a home run this time. No plastic case just straight from the box and put it to use. Highly recommend buying this if you like to record and take photos

Purchased this for our upcoming vacation in South Carolina. Will see how it works out. Only issue is there are zero instructions so you have to look up on you tube how to open and such.

Bought this for my dad for Christmas and have to say that I wish GoPro offered an upgrade path so can upgrade my 4 Black model.. This new one has great features and doesn't need a waterproof housing.

This is a first GoPro camera for our family. We took it on vacation and it was so easy to use, just make sure you get an extra battery or two, or purchase the battery charger when it becomes available.

This camera is perfect for capturing pics and videos of us and the dogs at the beach! It’s also powerful enough to capture slow motion and should be great this coming hunting season!

Gopro cameras are like IPhones, in an effort to gain more customers they release a new version every year, some times they're lucky to score some neat upgrades and this time they finally made it, no more bulky case and cool design are some of them, but we're still waiting for that stabilization option.

Its a great product, although for a beginner it took me a bit to figure it all out. My kids on the other hand were all over it. Still working on the app to get the videos off and into movie format!

Good product. I asked the Best Buy associate if the Go Pro is all ready to go and if I need to buy anything else so my son can use it Christmas morning. He said yes it's ready to use. Well.. not true.. the Go Pro does NOT come with a memory card!!! So he could not use it Christmas Day! Very disappointed

I like that it's very compact to carry around. The quality are really great. I don't like having to open the case every time I want to recharge the camera. The USB door is not really durable. It came out easily without much man force. Lucky, the camera was still under warranty when that happened.

The screen is a plus! I had the hero 3 with the additional battery and dual battery charger, but cant use it on the hero 5 because the battery has changed, other than that happy with my purchase.

The camera has the same overall quality of the GoPro Session5 but the camera is heavier and structurally weaker. Both the front lens and back screen seem to break under regular falls and crashes, unlike other GoPro models.

I had the hero 4 silver and was super disappointed with the audio quality and all the popping noises so I returned it for the hero5 and love it. The sound is good even after dunking it in the lake.

This is a great action camera for the outdoors. The new LCD screen is an improvement over the previous model of just a cube and not knowing what you're taking a picture/video of.

Bought this camera to record footage of our off road trips, swimming days and just general picture taking as well. 4K is a great feature, just make sure to get a high capacity memory card.

The first one I bought locked up on me all the time and I had to take the battery out to shut it off it wouldn't shut off. But they exchanged it with no problem and I love my GoPro 5 hero

Have used this in the car. The Image stabilizer is very good. Will soon use it on my motorcycle (which I bought it for). The major bad point is the software will not run on linux.

Love this Hero5 Black. It basically has the same sensor as Hero4 silver and black, but the image stabilization in this GoPro makes it on a whole new level - plus it has GPS which I love.

I love the GoPro Hero 5 video camera. It's just amazing and so simple to use. I am glad I decided to buy it before my trip to Perú. My only regret was not buying before my trip to Spain.

Lots of extra features but as a professional videographer there are better options out there. This was suppose to be used for an exploratory documentary but unfortunately the go pro failed to keep up with far less expensive action cameras when it came to filming for extended periods of time. We lost valuable moments that can not be retaken. So for the over all look and feel of the product along with a middle range picture quality go pro gets a thumbs up. For reliability and ease of use in an in the moment situation, go pro gets a thumbs down. I found that for about 75% less money I could get an action camera that made go pro look like go home pro.

This camera is very easy to use, and with a great battery, was able to take hours of snorkeling videos on my cruise. The quality brought the memories back with a "wow".
