I purchased this camera for a recent vacation. This camera surely lived up to the hype: it is rugged, and can take a beating- all the while not missing the mark on performance.

This GoPro has everything I've been waiting for in a GoPro... Stabilization, ISO, Exposure, etc.I use it exclusively for my karma grip.I highly recommend getting the Hero 5 Black.

The technology of this camera is off the charts, but I give it a 4 star because the instructions for the camera should be better for this new technology. I had to give the camera to someone that had an older version of the GoPro so they could help me install it and use it.

GoPro continues to improve their products. The attention to detail makes it difficult to not upgrade with each new product. The 5 has some cool new features and are worth it

I can't express how well this camera performs in all climates. The stability is amazing and the addition of the screen on the back to help with framing shots was a brainstorm!

I have the Hero 4 but loved it so much that I got this for a client giveaway. Love the fact that this newer model doesn't have the additional waterproof protective housing.

I'm happy that they finally release a the black series model that did not require a separate waterproof housing. This makes swapping batteries and memory cards so much faster.

I got this for a travel vlog rather than recording activities and it still worked great! The only issue is the camera case it comes with covers up the microphone holes so I took a dremel and made holes so the mic holes were no longer covered and I did notice a difference.

I read the reviews and saw many videos before getting one so I knew what I was getting and its features. I'm very happy with it. Fantastic practical and weatherproof camera. Fun.

This camera works flawlessly. I had the old hero 4 black and it was terrible. It would always freeze and stop recording. This one is perfect! It doesn't skip a single beat.

I've had one in the past and this is my favorite one by far because it's voice activated allowing you to take videos and pictures when you're not using a remote or your phone.

GoPro's are awesome not much else to say about them! Solid tanks that provide high quality recording in rough situations!

I was very hesitant about purchasing this product & was actually going to buy the cheapest one. I'm glad I mad the decision to purchase this one. The pictures & videos are amazing. One downfall to it, it doesn't bring any type of instructions &/or manual what so ever.

Couldn't imagine a better camera with the features it comes with. Just took it to Thailand and was the best purchase I've made in years. Super clean, efficient, and durable.

My 1st GoPro and it's amazing! I've used previous generations, but this one is so incredibly user friendly!! Battery life isn't the best, so suck it up and invest in a spare!

This is my first GoPro. I bought it for our trip to Mexico to film a zip line tour thru the jungle. I had zero problem with any of the recordings. I have to say that name recognition was the primary determining factor in my purchasing decision. It lived up to it's name.

I recently purchased my new GoPro hero 5 to take pictures while on the go and at the beach. The overall photo quality is great and it also takes great underwater photos.

Only flaw is in the battery door, the button jams when closing the door sometimes and takes more force than you'd think to click in shut

I had a Hero 3 Black before this and it was good. The Hero 5 Black is a big step up. The rear screen is a big plus. The battery life is better than the old model as well.
