I have used the Hero 3 and Hero 4. The new Hero 5 quality and durability is much improved. For the price, though, GoPro should include an AC adapter for charging, and make the cables longer than 12".

This was well worth the wait! Many new features plus several options from prior models now standard. Worth the upgrade.

It was a gift for someone that spends a lot of time outdoors teaching students to love nature. She loves the camera.

You can't even use half of the go pro functions because you need special software to convert all the videos. Don't bother using the "best" setting because you can't view the videos anywhere but on the tiny screen. The go pro mixes up time stamps. Picture quality is subpar. Battery life is so so. You definitely need two batteries. The charging port is loose. Overall pretty dissatisfied for spending this much money. Should have took it back while I had the chance.

I knew before buying that the audio recording isn't the best. However, it's still a great recording device.

This is the most high tech, innovative action camera there is. Pack it anywhere you go and create great memories.

I admit this was a purchase order for my wife and myself, but she is very happy with it. Happy wife happy life!
