Best upgrade since the Hero 4 Black

These new cameras are awesome. The night shots are clear. Much more control over my settings to get just the right shot. The interface is fantastic, and the quality us unmatched. Of all the action cameras I've used, this is leaps and bounds over the rest.

    Not Reliable.

Now that I have had it for a few months now I will review. The only thing good about the camera is the video quality and the stabilization. That is it. The Gopro 6 is not reliable, I have two of them and both will over heat in 5 mins when using the battery. Both will shut off with no reason. Constant file repair going on. Auto rotate does not work all the time. It doesn't matter if you use the recommended SD card or not it gets errors. Junk!. Wish I had never bought the two I have. GoPro has dropped the ball on this and the firmware updates only make it worse.

    The best action camera stabilizer

I bought this camera for the stabilization after i bought a hero 5 and was disappointed with its stabilization. I gave it 4 stars because of quik stories which is absolutley horrible. I spent a lot of time trying to edit a movie with it and after completion the video came out choppy and skipping, did it a few more times with the same outcome.

    Run Away, my worst purchase

I bought this camera at New York the day of the kick off, it was a gift for the birthday of my husband. First charge, the light stayed red during 10 hours ! I tried to start the camera, impossible... I had to take off the battery and return it, the camera started with 90% of battery for 10 hours of charge. Each time, I tried to start the camera, I had to take off the battery and return it. I contact Go pro, they asked me to reset the Go pro because of the freezinf of the camera, what is the relation with the battery ?! So nothing works, they asked me to return them the camera, but according to the customer policy, I have to pay the shipping !!! So to resume, I bought the new Go Pro 6, the day off the kick off, the camera never worked and Go Pro ask me to pay the shipping to send them, really it is a joke. Avoid this Go Pro 6, and avoid Go pro the customer services is so bad ...

My husband uses this camera for when he takes his car out on the track. He mounts it with the suction cup mount. Super easy, great image quality. The battery life is surprisingly good as well.

I do a lot of beach fishing and this camera and video is better than anything that I've used before. Although, the memory space could be better.

My computers cannot read HERO6 video files

When I tested my camera the first time, Quik (HERO6 supporting software) notified me that a processor of computer is not powerful enough to view my movies. My computer is about 4 years old. I tried another computer we purchased about a year ago and found the same issue. HandBreak software was recommended by GoPro to change format of the files; It took ~15 minutes to write a ~1 minute movie in acceptable format with substantial reduction in quality (back to 1080, 30 FPS). When I tried Roku 2160p60 4K format instead, it took 2 hours, ~8 times more memory and my computer was unable to read the final file; there was a notification that the file was created with errors. I also purchased accessories. The package included a low of accessories and only few of them were needed, but I had to buy them all because they were not available separately.

    Not supported by many devices!

I have an iphone 6 and newer iMac with PLENTY of modifications to run 4k and higher end pro video cameras and software (FCX and Premiere Pro) but GoPro's Codec for the higher frame rates are in a HVEC Codec which is not recognized by these devices. I was excited for this new GoPro but am returning it. If i wanted to view these high frame rate videos, I'd have to purchase $4000 worth of new editing gear. GoPro should have all left the codec in standard H.264... until then, see you later GoPro.

Bought this little guy for an upcoming family trip to Florida. Used it at home the first night for a time lapse video. The battery ran dead in about an hour 15 min. Will not turn on or charge now. Really disappointed that a camera at this price would do something like this on the first use.

Camera is great but no video editing program

Camera is good but no video editing program available yet. Gopro know this and say its working on it . so all the new features in this camera is useless for now, get the gopro 5 and all the feature will work with Gopro studio and all the other video editing programs.

Bought this to supplement/replace a Hero 3+ and right out the game this camera was bad. The codec that it uses to encode 4K60P files is not supported by Premier CS6, despite Adobe saying it is, as such you either have to downgrade the quality, thus making one of the main selling points of the camera over the earlier Hero 5 completely mute, or be face with being unable to edit your video files. In addition to this problem when I went to remove the battery I had found that it had warped and was almost unable to remove it, something that presents a massive fire/explosion danger. If you are looking for a 4K camera look elsewhere as this one is not worth your money in any way shape or form. Hopefully they will learn from the problems this camera has presented and improve the design for the Hero 7.

item descrip says memory card included it is NOT!

The description on the Best Buy Website under "specifications" and then"included" in this GoPro said a memory card is included with purchase. When I received the camera there was no memory card included. We were travelling as we recieved it and was very difficult to find a retail shop with the correct memory cards. When I called about the missing memory card and asked them to look up the description, Best Buy rep said it was not included and did not say it is. They would not honor a new memory card and the descripion on their website still says a memory card is included with this particular GoPro
