Poor battery usage

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waited a long time to get a Hero, way back since Hero4 but were too expensive, The Hero 7 Black was a steal at $229 . Had alot of action plans for it. However, I noticed the battery was draining even when 'off". Did some research and if voice is 'on' even with GoPro 'off' the battery is being used. TIP: Turn off voice. Two days after purchase, I pasted it on my helmet and went for a 30 minute rideas a test since battery was suspect, I made sure the battery 100% charged. I set settings low knowing the higher settings consume more power. So I set at 1080p at 60 FPS, wide FOV. Arriving at my destination with 30 minutes, I HAD 10% charge! I gues what does one expect out of a tiny1200Mah battery. THe quality of the footage and featues are outstanding, but does .do any good without a charge
