This camera sets the standard for mobile/action video! The increased stability is fantastic. I can jump up and down while filming someone and the shot is almost 100% stead! The ability to live stream from the camera to nearby devices is extremely useful, and you can control the camera from your cell phone! There are so many features and so much functionality added to this model compared to the previous! Waterproof to 33 feet, they HyperVideo stabilization is unbelievable, plus voice control and up to 4K60 1080p240 video! Nothing compares to this device.

This is my first go pro and it seems I got in at the perfect time. I got this about a week before going to Disneyland as I thought it would be perfect for recording us on rides. It was amazing. If this is your first Go Pro like me you will find it very hard to learn about it. The only instruction that come with it are a series of pictures that tell you how to open the case(very hard), install the battery and SD card, and charge. After that you are on your own. So after many hours of you tube research (which there wasn't much on the 7 black yet because it was just released) I was ready to take it to Disneyland. I figured while being on roller coasters , water rides and speeding "Cars" that the picture would come out shaky, mainly because I was screaming and shaking the whole time, but when I downloaded the video to my laptop and watched it, the picture was incredibly stable and very clear due to the hyper-smooth image stabilization. It was like watching a Disneyland 4k commercial. We took it on water rides and purposely got it as wet as could be to see how water proof it was and never had a problem with recording. The biggest problem I found was that the battery only lasted not even 1/2 of our first day there. By the afternoon the battery was dead and had to head back to the hotel to charge it. I will definitely buy the double battery charger and extra batteries to have at the ready when the battery dies. Also if you do not plan to use the go pro around water you can take the charging door off for easier access to the port without having to take the whole case off which can be frustrating and very hard. I did not have time to learn the live streaming capability to Facebook live but will definitely use that function in the future. What a cool way to share your experiences with friends and family. It also comes with a voice command to turn on or off the video or to take a picture. I found that this doesn't work well in noisy areas as I had to repeat "start recording" several times before it would turn on. There are so many other things I want to do with this camera that I should have waited 6 months or longer to review it but the main reason i wanted to post now was the amazing stable video you can shoot with this is definitely worth the money.

Came home from a little trip I took. I got the notification saying that the go pro got here an once I got home there was nothing.

It freezes 3-4 for times a day i will return it asap

The Hero 7 is an impressive compliment to the Go Pro Line. The built in stablization is certainly a needed plus and it doesn't make it look like a software correction, it actually compensates well for minor bumps here and there. The more hard bumps it attempts to correct but not as well. The resolution and options are fantastic for this addition and the live streaming component works really well. WOuld not splurge for this camera if you have a recent previous generation, but for the newbies this is a must have

Just 2 months laters, when i was going to have my first use of the camera, it do not turn on. I am in brazil and the camera is not working.

Charger fried the entire go pro melted into the housing, complete loss of footage and warranty

I used the GoPro once and now it won't come on, just stop working. For something that cost over $350 I'd like to get more out of it.

Terrible. Having problems using the App. and/or transfer them video to my pc.. Want to return it.

Unlike lots of hyped things, GoPro's Stabilization works at least as well as they claim, and probably better. Mounted on a vibrating engine I could not tell the difference between the engine off, and the engine running. Exceeded my expectation. If you are going to use the camera in the cold its battery life is iffy, but the video it shoots makes up for that. If you snowmobile, Mountain Bike or any other sport where you are on rough trails, this is the camera to pick.

Couldn’t get it to work. The sb card bestbuy recommend wouldn’t work with this camera

It wouldn't sync even after multiple updates. I was warned by staff members but tried anyways. Steer clear.

One day after I could return the item, it quit working somewhat. Cuts off randomly. Second one I’ve had.

Quit working within a few months despite only using light duty, indoor applications.

Worked amazing until I lost it in the bottom of a lake after jumping off a 30 foot rock. Recommend buying a body harness and not a head harness

The GoPro will randomly not turn on which is a major issue when you go to use it.
