    DO NOT GET THIS FROM BEST BUY

    so I got a Gopro hero 7 black open box; excellent condition but, when I got it, it worked just fine until I tried to remove the battery to charge it after playing with it. the battery did not have a pull a pull tab to get it out so I had bang it upside down until the battery came out. I also noticed that it said that it comes with ALL og accessory's but it was missing the owners manual, curved and flat adhesive mounts, stickers, and a few little papers it usually comes with so I exchanged it for a brand new full priced Gopro h7b. that came with everything it was soposed to and when I tried to turn it on it did not come on so I made sure it had the battery and it did so I figured it was dead so I plugged it in while following all the instructions. five minutes later I came back to it and it was really hot so I opened the battery door and noticed it smelled like smoke so i quickly unplugged it and took the battery out and realized it was broken.

    Camera was purchased for a trip to Disney with grandkids , I was able to take 3 pictures on first day , then the camera would not work for the rest of the trip. unfortunately I was sure there would be no issues since I had shot phots severalties before trip, I did not take a better camera? this was a bg disappointment not being able to take pictures of a this trip with my grandkids, very very upset. Go Pro credit less about this, they did agree to replace camera ? I do not recommend this camera unless there is a back up camera to go with it .

    Horrible camera, horrible customer service

    This camera did not work out of the box. It doesn’t allow me to take any photos or videos, it just freezes up. I tried all the troubleshooting and still didn’t work. I then tried to return to Best Buy and they told me they could not exchange it for a working one. Will never buy from BestBuy again.

    How do I hate thee GoPro... Let me count the ways 1) Small door covering the USB port broke off almost immediately. Poorly constructed. Apparently this happens frequently 2) Suction cup attachment rated for 140MPH fell off at 70MPH 3) Software interface is cumbersome and outdated 4) You need to use a smartphone to access some of the features- you can't do everything on the camera itself 5) Does not default to video mode- When I powered it on and thought I was recording video, I was only taking a still. 6) Wide angle has horrible "fish eye" effect I would prefer to use my phone, but unfortunately I can't scuba with it. I can certainly put it in my windshield when I race though, and I will have to figure out something else for underwater.

    Great until the freezing happens

    I bought three (3) of these with the trade-up program. I loved the camera for the first few weeks until the camera started freezing all of the time. I called GoPro, and they recommended that I reinstall the firmware (which I did) and I have only used the recommended memory cards (also purchased through GoPro). You can’t rely on this camera; I lost my son’s graduation ceremony due to a freeze ☹ I am going to keep the camera, but you should do a few google searches before buying.

    Terrible! Died after 18 months!

    Terrible. Battery dies very fast. Tried to use it about 18 months later (09/2020) and didn’t work at all. Won’t charge. Won’t turn on. Warranty is over.

    Terrible customer service, own multiple GoPro and never had a issue with any of my cameras. Now that one of my cameras failed, and I need the support that is supposed to come with GoPro, I’m not getting it. Sent back my camera weeks a go and I still waiting for it. They said that they had some technical issues with the return department. Just a simple apologizing email would have been enough. As always, big companies don’t care about customer service. Clients should not be punished for mistakes that the companies make, on the contrary, they should be compensated. Our country is not like before....

    The instructions do not clearly state that you need at least a 64 GB SD card for it to function properly. After a frustrating trip of the camera not working and digging through reviews online, I finally figured it out...

    Leak water at first time on water.

    Had for 2 years used on the snow with no problems. Went to Cancun on vacation with my family and used on water for the first time just to get water inside on first day and stop work. .thx gopro
