The footage from this GoPro looks amazing and the stabilization is perfect. But a few times when I've really wanted to use it, it would not turn on no matter what I did, no response whatsoever (while the battery is almost full). Also, the GoPro app worked the very first time I downloaded and tried it, but ever since then it will not work no matter what I do on the GoPro itself or the app. (Using the troubleshooting page to try to fix it). Overall it's a great camera but I'm so frustrated with it I don't even really want to use it.

Got the GoPro 7 black for a recent trip to Hawaii. I was a bit skeptical at first. Read lots of reviews about battery life being a potential issue. It worked flawlessly for what I needed it for. Swimming, hiking snorkeling, jogging.. Videos are crystal clear and super stable. Although I did notice the battery getting hot a few times. But it did not disrupt any recording. GoPro connect app works perfectly well too for on the fly edits.

This is a great camera that is pretty easy to operate. It is really compact and solid. The battery is the best I've had on any of my sport cameras. I've gotten 90 minutes on the 2K setting. The vides is awesome and smooth. The camera does run a little warm on the 2K setting. It gets a little warmer on the 4K setting. So far, this hasn't been an issue with the camera performance.

Brought this for my boyfriend loves it. It has a small LCD display, the stabilization is great for his action adventures and his sport. Like that the go pro is still small and not bulky, makes it easy to stick it on his bike, helmet or even on the car. def a keepper, just need to get another battery for his adventures

This little gem takes awesome video. A little bit tricky to get figured out but once you catch on it’s very user friendly. The most impressive feature in my book is the stabilization! Wow! I did video while on a tractor plowing and it turned out smooth as silk and so crystal clear! Best video I’ve ever done was with this GoPro! Where have you been all my life?!

This is my first GoPro, I was skeptical about purchasing at first but I’m glad I did! The video quality is fantastic! The sound is not great and at times is muffled or cut out (maybe something on my end?) very easy and straightforward to use. I have encountered issues with it freezing at times but a quick reset fixes it. Battery life is pretty short but spare batteries are inexpensive so it’s a fair trade off for the quality video it gives. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase.

I've been using the hero 7 black for a few weeks now and for the most part this thing is awesome. The video quality, audio quality, stabilization and navigation are all the best I've ever used in the GoPro line. The only issue I've run into is the occasional freezing up which can get a little annoying. It seems to be a software issue and I have to shut it down and restart it to get things going again. I'm hoping this will be addressed in a future software update.

this is hands down the best GoPro in this form factor yet. The updated firmware is much easier to use and way more intuitive than the previous versions. the video quality is superb and the stabilization is out of this world. Don't even think twice about getting this camera.

I would've given this GoPro 5 stars but the battery life is horrible. Even recording at 1080p 60FPS. Only lasts about 3 hours average. At 4K it is about 2-2.5 hours. You could always have an external battery charger but that's extra $$. Records in an amazing quality though. Specially with stabilization on. You don't have to worry about the image jumping around or looking shaky.

This action camera is great I have only used it a few times so far but it really impresses me. The quality of the video is great the built in stabilization is incredible on play back the video seems as though a gimbal was used no herky jerky video. I have used it in the water and seems to be completely water tight.

Excellent camera. I upgraded from the Hero 3 and this 7 is excellent. No need for a waterproof case as the camera is already waterproof and the 4k footage is excellent. Its also still small and nimble for use in tight spaces. Love this camera.

My review is limited to the use of the Hero7 Black for capturing high school age baseball games. I am new to GoPro so this is intended to help folks like me who were beginner users. Video quality is pretty good, I am using 1080p and 60 fps, linear whenever possible. The camera has worked well in about a month of use. I have had it freeze up a couple of times and had to remove the battery to reboot. The battery life is pretty poor so again to record a 2+ hour baseball game (cutting it between half innings), you will likely need 2 spare batteries. I use an Anker PowerCore 20000 to keep the internal battery topped off and it lasts for several games without recharging. The only downside to this is that is causes the camera to get very hot and it overheated (and required rebooting) last week, even though it was not in direct sunlight. Dumping the videos off of the camera to the cloud is easy but takes longer than I would like and you will need to subscribe to GoPro Plus for unlimited cloud storage (~$5/month). On a 5.3Ghz wireless connection (w/ 24 Mbps upload), it takes several minutes to upload roughly 10-12 minutes of video and the camera has to be plugged in and fully charged to upload. The iPhone app from GoPro works well but it loses the wifi connection to the camera frequently even when in close range. It is far easier to view/edit/share videos shot in the native ios photos app than the GoPro videos in the app. All that said, I'm not discouraged and am still getting used to the product and process.

The image quality and stabilization is fantastic. Takes great videos. So-so on the photos. Waterproof feature is excellent. When you buy a GoPro, you have to understand that the product support and documentation is among the worst of any product I have ever purchased. You have to rely on 3rd party YouTube videos to learn how to do anything with the camera.

This camera is super fun to run around with and record high def video. I love how small it is and that it's waterproof to a certain depth. I can't wait to take it scuba diving with an underwater case that lets you go even deeper!

Purchased for vacation. Pretty easy to set up and begin. One issue I have is that the view screen will go blank while still filming and you have to touch the screen to get it back on. There is probably a work-around for that that I haven't discovered. Takes excellent underwater video.

I bought this as a gift for my kids to take to Thailand with them. They absolutely love the GoPro! It was easy to use, it took great pictures, great (steady) videos, compact and it was the perfect camera/video to document their trip. It was a great buy!

We purchased this action camera to replace our old DSLR since we just wanted something that had great quality, small footprint for space, and something we could take anywhere. So far it has not let us down. Much easier to use and upload photos than the Fusion 360

the camera is amazing it has 4k video and stable video making any Gopro video you make look amazing the only thing i have an issue with is that the camera heats up alot when turned on or either filming.

Used the camera while in Disney World for footage for my YT channel. The camera takes amazing video outside during day time or indoors under well lit conditions. Video clarity and colors were amazing and the hyper smooth stability works great. That said in dimly lit conditions, like many rides in Disney World, the video quality was not great. We were also using an iPhone 11 Pro Max and the video quality that took in low light conditions crushed what the GoPro was able to capture. Also works great, as you would expect, in high activity situation like roller coasters and other fast moving environments. It also took great high quality stills too...although same light limitations exist. It's great for outdoors use or very well lit conditions...or for any movement video needs. That said it's not a one use for all camera. Battery time is is on the poor side for it's price tag. I only got about 1.5 hours of filming/standby time before having to charge it back up. Having removable batteries is a huge plus though as it didn't slow me down. Had a charger going off a battery pack at all times so was able to constantly switch them out (need to buy the charger and extra battery separately though).

I love everything about this camera! The quality of the videos are amazing! I can take it anywhere with me and it doesn’t take much room at all. It is very easy to maneuver, even for someone like me who is not a professional. Couldnt be more happy!
