Camera is easy to use. Battery life isn't great so I suggest purchasing a second one. Features of filming are fun toe experiment with and clarity of the videos is excellent.

I am blown away at the quality of this camera. I honestly thought the “gimbal like stability” was just a gimmick but the quality of video that comes through actually appears to be like it is on a gimbal. 4K video is very crisp at 60fps. The touch screen is also very reactive and doesn’t feel like a cheap display like I’ve seen on other cameras. Would have appreciated the five housing included but it makes sense since the Hero7 boast a waterproof design without it

Bought this camera for a Florida trip. Took time lapses all the way down there, then some night videos, in the water videos, underwater videos, and so much more, all in 4K60fps. You name it, this thing can do it. Phenomenal little camera. Also the companion mobile app makes it an absolute BREEZE to transfer all your pics and videos to your phone, or an tablet, or a computer. All around 5/5. There's nothing negative I can say.

Periodically, I have to remove the battery because it will freeze or do something weird. Also the battery life is horrible, so buy at least 2 more batteries and a portable charger. I have 2 of the Hero7 Black cameras set up to collect long term time lapse photos of the construction of our new house. All in all the camera is great, but I have run into issues with it shutting down unexpectedly. I only get to the construction site once a week, and it is frustrating to find the camera has shut off and segments of the construction were not photographed. After searching online, I found a recommendation to remove the battery and run the camera on external power to avoid overheating of the camera. I did this and so far it seems to have worked. I hope it continues, as in every other way the camera is great.

I'm definitely not the most technical savvy person, but this is super simple and lets me do what I need it to do. Record, play back on screen and easy to handle. The only down side, at least for me is it does over heat pretty fast, but for me a simple solution, buy a three-way battery charger and get additional batteries and rotate them out. I detail vehicles so its easy for me to switch out and keep batteries charged.

My first GoPro camera and love it so far. I look forward to using this in a trip soon. I used it mounted on a chest strap while riding bike trails around the city when the weather was better and the footage came out awesome. Sound is not amazing but I was not expecting superior sound from such small camera. I only wish the battery would last longer but will be buying some extra batteries before trip. I would recommend it you will be using it at least twice a month for this price.

First off, the image quality is excellent. I couldn't be happier with the video and still shots. Additionally it comes with a bunch of different adhesive mounts. The only major disappointment is the terrible battery life. Under an hour on higher settings necessitated buying a backup battery. I had a Contour Roam before this and the batteries lasted at least 4x longer. In al other respects the Go Pro Hero 7 is a good purchase. 4k video and frame rates of up to 240 FPS in lower resolution plus the sturdy design make this camera a winner.

I upgraded to this camera from a Hero3 and I have to say, the image stabilization is truly a game changer. You can now walk around with this and just hold the camera or chest strap it (no gimble needed) and record really great videos. We have used it in Greece under water and on land and we have not been disappointed. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT........a tip for you .....buy three more batteries....you will need them on long days.

Video is clear... Easy to use... Small and compact. Go pros just get better and better

Great camera. I love it. Had to return the first one though because it liked to freeze and stutter a lot. Went with it for a week or two and decided to return. Glad I did. The second one works great! Awesome picture and video quality. Hyper stabilization works great. Con- battery life is horrible. Had to get 3 batteries just so I didn’t have to run to the charger after every use. Depending on video quality you can get roughly an hour out of a full charge.

Bought a gopro because my boyfriend and I will be traveling a lot more this year. This was a good investment because we will be able to document those memories together now with high quality photos and videos. The only thing about buying a gopro that I wasn't aware of are the little pieces when changing it to different cases or equipment (tripod to head strap to chest strap) so it's very tedious trying to make sure you remember each piece. The gopro also eats up a lot of battery, so luckily I bought two extra batteries with the dual charger. I would have to swtich to a new battery every 2 hours if I wasnt constantly recording something.

Love it. Easy to use, great video audio quality. Only negative is battery life. Could be a little longer.

This is my second go pro and am very happy with the 7 Black. I was surprised with the quaility of the photos and videos. From the beach to the city and rual streets of China this does a great job. No worries about carring a $3500 everyplace I go, no its not a replacement but more convenient in some cases. The setup is easy and there are many youtube videos with tips and tricks. Down side is the battery life is a bit short but extras are cheap.

GoPro is easy to use and has unparalleled clarity and functionality. I’m NOT a tech person but a 56 year old, old school woman who was able to learn how to use this the day I traveled. No doubt I haven’t used all of the functions and it did take a bit to figure out when it was taking video or stopped.... but it worked and now I have amazing video to watch as my memory fades.

Stabilization and video quality is great. The only issue I can tell of is battery life. It isn't terrible, but it isn't amazing. Love how easy to use this camera is.

I've always wanted a GoPro, and the Hero7 Black is my first one. This camera is AMAZING! Love the picture quality, love the features, but from talking with long-time GoPro users everyone is AMAZED at the picture/video stabilization feature! This camera takes SMOOTH action video. I love that it's waterproof. I've used it snowboarding and skiing so far and can't wait to take it out on the boat wakeboard and surfing with me this summer!!!

Love the quality of the footage, especially outside on a sunny day. The motion stabilization is amazing and I'm very happy with the purchase so far, making tons of actions videos of my son and I. Good quality. Read the GoPro FAQ to understand the model (battery life, heating up, etc) as a lot of worries are actually normal and the camera is doing just fine. Hope it lasts for a long time!
