Great action camera. Nice sound. Image very stable. I have it mounted with a clamp mount on a bass boat windshield & the video is very stable even when running 70 mph!

I have never owned an action camera before, and since I knew about GoPro’s great reputation for making hardy cameras with many features, I was excited to try this out. However, as a disclaimer, I had to rely on reviews of past products and competitors to see how the GoPro Hero 7 Black measured up. Video/picture quality After trying out this device and comparing it to other products, I was very impressed with the video stabilization system, Hypersmooth. I was also impressed by the overall great picture quality this camera had. Microphone quality/touch display The tiny camera picked up my voice very well. It sounded natural and clear. I also liked how the touch display and menus rotated depending on the camera’s orientation and how responsive the small screen was. I did not test live streaming since I don’t really use Facebook. Battery life I did not time exactly how quickly the battery drained, but after the short time I spent adjusting settings and menus, formatting the SD card, and making brief videos, I noticed the battery life was already at 40%. The camera was also already warm on top. Pros Water resistant (33ft) Hypersmooth (great stabilization) Great microphone for size of camera Small and lightweight Live streaming to Facebook Cons Battery life Still requires phone nearby to live stream I would, without a doubt, recommend this GoPro as a rugged video stabilizing camera to capture action shots. After reading reviews on the GoPro 6, I would say there have been some major improvements with respect to stabilization and the microphone, but I wish the battery life was better.

Great camera. Lots of fun. Slight annoyance: Sometimes the wireless connection via IOS App stops working and requires a reboot of camera.

I upraded from the 5 to the 7 .. couldn't bought the 9 but the reviews was mixed. .Glad I got the 7!!

I’m very pleased with this series of the Go Pro Camera. I feel bad because I waited so long to have so much darn fun.

This is the second one we purchased for our grandson due to him dropping it into the river without having the float attached. Lesson learned

Works decent. Even on lower res settings the stupid thing still overheats. Also remember to turn off the wireless otherwise it will drain the battery FAST even when turned off.

I have the Hero4 and just upgraded to the Hero7. The Hero7's clarity and image stability are amazing. Definitely glad I made the purchase.

I love using the GoPro Hero 7 Black for time lapse, timewarp, and action videos. It is the best of the action cams currently available.

I use this when I go on vacation very compact and easy to carry around light and long lasting battery

If your shooting in 4K 60fps it gets hot and stops recording after a short time good for other settings though

Took a little bit to get everything working together with my phone app, etc. Now that it does, It is working great..my dog loves it!

I was excited to learn to use the camera but the salesman did not tell me I needed an i-phone or at least a version 7 Android (mine is 6) to use the app. I called best Buy who referred me to Geek Squad who referred me to GoPro who referred me to my phone company! I took the camera back. It appears to be a good camera if you have the right phone or want to buy a new one.

Great my husband loves this for his motorcycle. He uses it for his daily route going to work and coming back.
