Seems cool, but a real pain in the neck. Camera kept turning on every time it sensed the app even when I wasn't intending to use camera or the app.. While I can appreciate the quality which seems good, it is extremely difficult to open up the compartments to charge it. Horrible actually. I'm a strong man and I almost hurt my hand twice. No regular mount either for this price it should come with multiple mount options but instead they want you to use their proprietary accessories.

I'm very disappointed in the GoPro 7 Black. I attempted to use this for my business and it is a very unreliable camera. The camera will stop in the middle of recording. The battier life is terrible and the wifi is extremely unreliable. Do not use this camera if you need something reliable.

I'm not very good with technology so I haven't been able to pair my camera to my phone. I spent good money for this and haven't been able to use it. Got no help from Best buy at pop. What do you suggest.

Go-Pro Hero Black 7 has been useful for the activity I purchased them for other than a few issues related to zooming and recording videos (while live transmission of the video being recorded)

I was willing to pay the money for the Go Pro Hero 7 Black but after trying it out I realized it definitely wasn't worth the money. The battery is difficult to get out. Plus, to charge it I had to pull out the memory card. I shouldn't have to do that. For the price, I expect the camera to function properly without having to find makeshift ways to get it to work. Returned it and will not buy another.

Camera does the job as long as the battery is charged. I’m not as impressed as I thought I would be, but it does record good quality video and pics. Needs longer battery life and the camera gets very hot.

This is my first GoPro product and so far I’m impressed. I’m not big on reading the manuals before I start playing with new toys so here we go. After installing the battery and a 128gb memory card I discovered it came out of the package with a 10% charge on the battery, so step one was to charge it up. Once I had a full charge I started the app on my iPhone and turned on the Hero7. It walked me through connecting the camera to the phone. Next stop was the settings menu where it took me a minute to figure out how to format the memory card, which was the “Delete all Files” option. Checking the SD Capacity I found it would hold just over 17,000 photos or 4 hours of 1080p / 120fps video. Switching the video to 4K / 60fps give exactly the same video capacity while 1080p / 60fps gives you 7.5 hours. My main use will be to record the action while kayak fishing so I’m estimating it would take me about two full battery charges to fill the memory card. Next I tried out the voice commands and was easily able to start and stop recording and take a couple pics. It’s nice that the app also runs on my Apple Watch so I can control the GoPro from there while my phone is locked away safe from the elements. I’ll have to do some reading to see what other voice commands are available. Video quality was good and I was equally happy with the audio quality. I was impressed how easy it was to start using the Hero 7 without reading any of the instructions. I’ve got a boom mount on order so I can mount this on my kayak. I can’t wait for it to come in so I can see how the voice commands work with the camera about 2 feet behind and above me while out on the open water. Looking forward to capturing some great footage of my fishing adventures.

Compared to the DJI osmo action camera, GoPro just doesn't compare. Overheating slowness of swipes and software basic usability just doesn't compare at all to the DJI osmo action camera

Worked ok for a bit but now no matter what I do it will not turn on. Even when it did work video quality was mediocre and did not work well as a webcam either. It would overheat and die if plugged into power source for long term recording or monitoring and the battery would die after an hour or so of recording so genuinely cannot think of a good usecase for this.

Purchased this camera and had a leak in it the first day. Caused lens to cloud ruining great once in a life time pictures. Best Buy of course replaced it. Still got great sport pics out of it.

I really have not gotten much use from it. It's complicated and the pictures don't look too good. I'm disappointed. All I wanted was something small to take some nice vacation pictures.

I purchased my Hero 7 Black on launch day along with the 64gb GoPro recommended SD card. Nothing but problems, could not update thru the app for starters. I had to install firmware 1.51 manually. It freezes and locks up all the time. I called the support number and really did not get good help. They told me to reset and reload the firmware and I did that multiple times. I told myself if this camera locks up one more time it's going back to BestBuy while is was currently locked up so I could show them my headaches with this camera. I returned it, I don't think it was ready for prime time!!!!

We bought this new version to upgrade from our Hero3. I thought it was going to be a world of difference but it's really just meh. Picture is fine. We use ours mounted on top of a car in auto racing and I miss the hard case that used to protect the GoPro. Ours got a split down the middle of the lens window after the second use, we actually went back to our hero3 which is in impeccable condition even after being used in extreme sports for years. Sorry I spent the money on this one.

Have a good one! Many Thanks, GoPro Support. I still have a problem with the GoPro Cloud. It makes no sense how we pay 50 dollars a year for the membership of the Cloud. It doesn’t make sense how I contacted three people for go pro support about the Cloud and they couldn’t fix what happened with the cloud
