Bought for my husband. Had some difficulties with the technology, but were able to get phone help which was good. Not always as easy to use as some cameras.

Picture quality is good but the reliability is not. This camera disconnects and shuts off without a moments notice. There has probably been two times out of the month that I have used it where it did not stop filming or disconnect from my phone without me knowing. Very frustrating. It is also not compatible with an external mic. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks for the 7 black.

This Camera does not have a replaceable battery. It over heats constantly making it useless during the overheating period.

My son got this for selling a lot of popcorn in scouting. He used a lot for still pictures and it is really easy to use. He is only 10. Haven't had a chance to do much video yet. Easy to use camera for a beginner.

It is very good when you're outside and have an active life. We enjoy the pictures from skiing trip and just the family doing things.

He really like its. Its a very sturdy product however had to return it to get the gopro8. Although not much different, he does not use all the feature on the 8.

First trip it fell off my motorcycle and was run over by a car, full tire right over the top. To my surprise it barely had a scratch and works perfect. Champ! Second trip rafting down the CO River. Champ!

Camera can be hard to use. The little buttons are difficult to press. The quality of the video in low light is grainy. Hard to tell if videos are in high def.

When getting the go pro I researched the different capabilities and sound specs. I wanted a great device to record everyday explorations and even have a device to record at home videos. What I didn’t realize on this particular go pro model is that it only has wide view lense. It curved on the edges and looked weird on doorways and ceilings.

Daughter found the operating system a little awkward to use. Shes gonna give it a little more time. I think it will work out for her with a little practice.

Amazingly more advanced then I have energy.. makes ginormous files if you time lapse all day....and it has battery to do so... And you can stop and look around in the file....very cool...

I enjoy this hero very much it hasn’t very easy settings and the build quality is great. Combined with other accessories it makes a great buy for holidays and even your a you tuber starter.

Six days ago I bought this camera at a Best Buy store. I took it home and played with it long enough to get the sd card formatted and figure out the controls. I happily took it to the beach to test it out.. and the camera stopped working almost immediately. No big deal, right? I thought I'd just take it back to BB, but NO. They said they don't accept returns that have water damage. Please note the title of this product is "Waterproof Action Camera" .. I'm highly disappointed in Best Buy, I've wasted so much time on this now. I think that my case might not be that common for these cameras because I see a lot people using them happily, and FWIW I think maybe GoPro support might help me out here... but Best Buy certainly didn't. Buyer beware, I wouldn't purchase this here.

Bought this for my son, I found it very easy to setup. The camera paired to his phone and the app without a problem. Before we knew it he was filming and loving his new camera.

I bought this for my boyfriend as a gift and he absolutely loves it. He uses it often especially when he and his best friend go out fishing. I'm so glad I bought this for him and the accessory kit is awesome as well.

Many in our family are taking turn using it and it has been dropped on the floor and into water -- yet it continues to take excellent pictures. We have bought a second camera as my daughter is away at college in Arizona.

Nice little camera. Use it all the time. Remember not to use 4K if you are planning and repaying on older non-4K-capable equipment.

Still getting a hang of it. I do like that it connects to your phone. Still got a lot of playing around to do with then i get back on here and put another post

Amazing camera , it’s a real wide field of view and shoots perfect looking photos and video. Only wide view and no 4K 60fps only 4k 30fps

This might be a good camera for beginners, and has a decent quality picture and battery life, but glitches too easily. I’ve only had it two weeks now and when I try to watch videos I’ve recorded the camera freezes for days. Won’t charge or anything. Best Buy wouldn’t exchange it on the 16th day of purchase. Out $200!
