The battery is not lasting very long. Everything else works fine

Best GoPro camera I've used so far, although my last one was a Hero 3+, so definitely a noticeable jump in quality there. Great image and the electronic stabilization is surprisingly effective. Makes it usable in situations where the previous generations would have been too shaky. The timelapse feature has always been one of my favorite things about the GoPro, and the screen on the Hero 8 makes it really easy to set up on my windshield for a road trip timelapse.

I bought the GoPro Hero 8 Black camera as a gift for my husband. He has always wanted a GoPro since they first came out but we could not afford it. I saw this GoPro Hero 8 on sale and decided I would get it. My husband loves it! I even bought some of the accessories for it. There is an image stabilizer in the camera that keeps the recording steady. I was surprised that when playing the recording back, it was steady as if on a tripod. The recording is clear and the sound is good.

This go pro is one of the best. I’m able to navigate though my recording’s easy and it’s small enough fit in my pocket

The image is so crisp it feels like you’re really there! I love mine! The only thing is I wish the battery lasted longer

Good quality video.. batter doesn’t last to long.. so u need to buy at least 2 extra while u start the rest.

I love this camera I take it everywhere I go. I use it for time lapse, and love the new hyper lapse feature it is so amazing! Yes Go pro updated the hardware, but it still works with all of the old attachments. My only complaint of coarse is the battery life! They don’t last long and I’m just waiting for a third party to create an attachment that houses the GoPro at the same time giving hours of battery life. Also wish they could have a “live feature” for Instagram videos or Snapchat as I don’t do live Facebook or YouTube. But all in all great device!

As with the last few incarnations of the GoProHero8, this one performs well for what it is. And, though the 4K is actually UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels), the video quality is clean and crisp. That being said, there were a few things that I wasn't really happy about. Chiefly among these is the fact that GoPro no longer includes an HDMI output on the actual camera. Instead, you have to buy their mod to utilize said feature, which will cost you another 80 bucks, plus tax and shipping.

I really liked this Go Pro I used it to do MTB and it’s very easy to set up and make amazing videos and pictures.

Simple out of the box results. Great stabilization for trail riding. Excellent video quality.

Traded up from the 7 which had battery issues, not 100% water proof. Battery from Hero 7 is not compatible (at least mine wasn't), so I had to buy an extra one. T Touch screen is great and simple to use but you loose that functionality (zoom, etc.) when using any housing, so make sure you have the settings you want before closing the lid. The battery door is a problem; a bit of pressure and it pops out. Overall I'm very pleased with it. Can't wait to take it scuba diving.

This camera takes great video and is so easy to use! We use it for our kids’ basketball games and it captures all the action!

Love the GoPro. I don’t use it as much as I should. But bought it for Hawaiian vacation and made some memories!

This thing is incredible. My son attached to an RC car and ran in off road. The video is amazing and very stable.

Really surprised how good the video looks for such a compact camera. Bought one to helmet-mount for a ski trip a couple years ago. Recently bought a second so I could shoot video (with suction cup mounts) of both goals at my kids’ hockey games. Even though it’s not the newest model, would still highly recommend.
