Really surprised how good the video looks for such a compact camera. Bought one to helmet-mount for a ski trip a couple years ago. Recently bought a second so I could shoot video (with suction cup mounts) of both goals at my kids’ hockey games. Even though it’s not the newest model, would still highly recommend.

First action camera I ever owned and I literally love it. Takes very nice pictures as well as footage. The battery life is great, ended up buying some extra ones as well as the dual charger for the batteries. This gopro is mounted on my dash on my 2021 Toyota Tacoma, I mostly use it for four wheeling and overlanding. Highly recommend, the hypersmooth 2.0 software makes the footage have no shakes. Awesome camera A+++.

Microphone issues when connected, approved list of microphones on GoPro site very expensive and not designed for moto vlogging. GoPro 8's are draining batteries after minimal use. This is my second GoPro 8, the original is being replaced under warranty free given the battery life issues. Could be early production GoPro 8's have the issues. The one I bought via Best Buy has worked perfect. Per GoPro - Lavalier microphones SHOULD work, I got lucky. Requires mic adaptor. Media Mod is excellent for interviews.

his is my first GoPro and I am still learning a lot about it. But so far I am very pleased with it. And it is a lot easier to use than I thought. I bought this to use on our first cruise coming up in December and I can't wait to try it out in the waters off of Cozumel. The one thing I was not pleased with is I bought this as an open box excellent condition. According to the description it should have all parts but there was no charging cable.

I've used most of the Hero Black GoPros and this is the best one so far. The image stabilization has improved making smooth video as you walk or pan around. The new media mod is an excellent addition if you don't need it to be waterproof. The media mod gives you access to charge, video out and mic in without having to open the sealed compartments. it also offers a rear microphone if you are narrating footage from behind the camera.

Excellent version, I am enjoying this item at maximum on all my bike rides
