Got on sale, definitely worth the sale price, not sure about its full price though, battery life is. M i s e r a b l e , if they could fix that, this would be amazing, battery life while using 4K probably gets you around 40 minutes tops with my uses, charges fairly quickly, but still all round a great action camera, easy to remove battery and charge and take out microSD card.

Camera gets warm quickly and shuts down. Other than that great camera with cool options.

Great camera! The image stabilization is phenomenal. but the battery life isn't...

Was going for a swim with manatees. Read manual and set up camera. Could not get App to load on phone. Camera worked and got some footage. Went on second swim and it wouldn’t turn on or stay on when I finally got it working, so got a few stills. Battery was low so recharged and waited. Went swimming again and took it with. Could not get it to turn on initially. When I did it would only allow video. Trying to watch video, it would only record more video. Thought it may have been user error—had a friend who owns and uses several go pros and asked them to try it—they said I seemed to have a lemon. Only gave two stars as video I did manage to film is nice. Disappointed and disgusted—especially after the price with all the extras. I want a camera I can depend on and this isn’t it.

Have been using Gopro's for years to film a large portion of my content especially car content and they have never let me down. I would recommend buying a few extra batteries with this or any of the newer GoPro's as recording in 4K quality can drain the battery faster than you might expect

Good quality, small and a lot of accessories to play with.

The way the GoPro line has advanced over the years continues to impress me. The HERO8 Black offers great quality video and audio, and the ability to attach Mods to it makes it even more versatile. The built-in mount "flaps" are a bonus too. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in vlogging but doesn't want to carry a lot with them.

Very pleased with the Hero 8. Used it to film some highlights of my oldest daughters graduation day and editing was a fun experience. Ease of use was main motivation on buying this and I recommend to everyone who's thinking about it. Buy it because this device allows you to enjoy whatever your involved in while filming at the same time and not feel like your limited in your activity.

Great action camera. Was trying to decide between the Hero 8 and the newer Hero 9, but didn't really have a need for the forward facing screen. So saved some money and got the 8. Image quality is incredible. The Hero 10 should be coming out in Sept 2021 so interested to see what features it has.

working ok ! still from time to time having issues with the sd card seems it comes up error message. not getting the length on my videos i should , i have had this issue with all my go pros and this one is no different . But i have been able to get some under water shots that i have liked very much.

I bought the GoPro to use during gravel bike races. I used during the Oregon Coast Gravel Epic and the video quality was outstanding! Even though the gravel paths were extremely bumpy the video stayed steady. I have another race in June and will definitely be using it again to capture some epic video.

This is the 2nd Hero8 that we have in our household. They are great and the footage looks amazing in 4k. People complain about the battery door being hard to close, it's not hard to close people.... The touch screen it great as well, just might need a little time getting used to it but I love it.

I got this camera on sale during the holiday and I'm happy with it. Its so small you can bring it anywhere. It didn't come with a memory card you need to buy micro SD card. I recommend a fast and large capacity card so you don't run into any issues. I also recommend the silicone sleeve with strap for the camera to protect it from drops or any accidents.
