I didnt know i needed thus camera until i got one. The video quality is amazing. It really came in as a WFH video camera in 2020. Getting a motorcycle mount next for riding adventures.

Video and picture quality is great. However, battery time is short lived, and keeping the devices connected to a remote or the app for use has proven a pain and fails more than not.

I wAited before I did my review. Normally time tells better than initial run. After a year and a half here’s my assessment. Overall good camera but every model seems to have problems that come later. For some reason that camera doesn’t respond to quick cut on by pressing the top button all the time, especially after using it for awhile. I have missed some nice shots because of it. I have to literally pulled the battery out then reinsert to get it to work again. That’s a pain and the voice controls don’t always work especially GoPro on. If all these glitches get fixed I think it’s a pretty good camera. But for now I generally have to trade them out after a year and hope the next model is better.

This camera shoots great quality video and I really like the touch screen feature because it allows you to configure all settings and see what the viewing angle is rather than having to pull your phone out like the old gopros.

The camera is great no complaints there. In fact the camera is amazing, you should totally buy one..... Just not at best buy! Best buy are dirty liars! I purchased the camera with the replacement plan (as I always do), the sales person (as they always do) give you the spiel, "replacements for a year, just bring the broken one in and walk out with a new one" Well about 2 weeks after I purchased the GoPro had some damage, so as I've done several times before I go to best buy with the camera and receipt........ Long story short after waiting around for like an hour for them to figure it out, they informed me that they're no longer replacing gopros despite them selling it to me not 2 weeks earlier with the replacement insurance. Needless to say this was very frustrating, but the attitude the geek squad guy had made it worse.....I had to leave the store because I didn't want to start yelling. So basically I've paid for insurance and best buy refuses to honor it, it's even more annoying because they changed their policy after I'd purchased it. The was no notice warning or anything other than a big "not our problem anymore" from best buy. The only reason to buy a GoPro at best buy is the replacement insurance. Now that they don't honor the insurance they sell/don't do the replacement anymore there's literally ZERO reason to buy a GoPro at best buy anymore. They've literally taken away the only selling point/competitive advantage they had for GoPro sales. Honestly it's a stupid business decision because people who buy a lot of GoPros only go to best buy bc the replacement. If that's gone so are we. It's even more frustrating that they refuse to honor what they sold. If I give you money based on certain expectations, then you refuse to honor those expectations, why on earth would I be happy much less continue to give you money? I'd much rather (in every instance/for every product they sell) give my money to someone else, this experience has really really tarnished best buys reputation and I'm not the only one..... There are a lot of us who are going to be giving our money to other people in the future.

Easy to use!!! I love it. Im catching the best wheelies and burn outs. Can't wait to get some footage of the Saddle Tramps MC crossing state lines!! Saddle What!!!!!

It’s a good price for a high-res camera and lives up to its standards. My only complaints are that when in 1080p in a dark setting, the video is grainy. The battery is very short and it tends to overheat fairly quickly. Other than that, I’m a huge fan!

Unless you really really need to push the boundaries, this cam will do everything the 9 and 10 do for a couple hundred bucks less. Used professionally as part of a 3 cam set up.

great for Vlogging and action. i think its better for vlogging because the lens is not removable like previous models and with the right setup it can take lights and mics better than previous models.

I bought this over a camcorder bc my husband and children said it was much better. It does take great photos and videos however I don’t like how small it is lol. But, I would pick quality photos and videos over the size of it. Def worth it.

The batteries are still trash. Sucks it dies so quick in the cold. Just annoying they can't fix know issues with they products. Beside that great video quality and easy to use.

Unfortunately it didn’t work for my needs. I bought one to record my son's basketball games and the battery couldn't even make it to the end of the first half which is only about 30 minutes long. In addition when you touched it after runner for 15 minutes or so it would be very hot to the touch.

Very good overall, but 4*s because it does get hot and shut down after a while. I think what’s needed is a vented door for use when not in a water prone situation. Other than that it’s a great unit.

What a great camera. The changes from the last version are great. Easy to use and software to make videos is amazing. Easy to travel with and will handle all your vacation needs without lugging along a huge camera.

Brought camera for the beach excursions in the Caribbean ocean. Works well. A lot of attachments available to purchase. Added screen protectors on lenses . Picture program is good. Hard to work with DJI gimble . No adapter available to fit

Loving the go pro so far for skiing, hiking, yoga videos and everything in between! The quality of the videos and photos are amazing. Haven’t tested it under water yet.

Upgraded from a Hero 4. Well worth it. Stabilization software works well. The only issue is if it's static you need to figure out a way to keep it cool or lower the resolution.

Love this! Quickly has become my favorite camera. The app on the phone is so easy to use and fun to play around with all the different view settings. The beeps are loud so I turned mine off.

Great action camera! I even got it on sale because the new go pro came out. That’s my advice go for the previous model save some bucks and earn some Best Buy rewards while you’re at it!

Absolutely love this thing my first one and clarity of pics and video great, even under water with case. Uploading to quic cloud and my phone pretty good as well worked great for hawaii
