Camera is great. However, I prefer the black 7!!

does exactly what I wanted it for. Purchased with accessories like water goggles and helmet attachments increase the flexibility and uses. By itself it is limited in use. not really better than a phone though certainly more rugged.

Best gopro i've owned. Does exactly as i ask Only issue is they moved the charging port to a dofferent location. so charging and recording at the same time is hard

As the title suggests, this is a great little camera, that does a lot. It’s an action cam, so you can take it on your adventures, can also be used as a web cam for hi-res streaming. It’s very versatile for a great price.

This is my first GoPro camera and so far I really like it. I have been using it with my dogs and have gotten some really great dog-related perspectives. I could not beat the price as it was on sale. I'm a latecomer to the party but I am glad I finally took the plunge.

Bought this GoPro specifically for 25 year anniversary trip to Hawaii. Used it for the night time Manta Ray dive in Kona. I tested it but never used it until the trip a couple of weeks ago. Bought a waterproof housing for it since the dive was over 30 feet. As soon as I got in the water, I started recording for about 5 minutes until we got to the bottom. I shut it off until I saw a manta ray (about 10 min). Tried to turn it on and it wouldn't go on. I knew it was fully charged because I charged it the night before. When I got back to hotel room, I took it out of the housing and the camera was completely dry. I tried to turn it on and it came on right away and battery life was at 72%. I charged it again and brought it to our luau. I used it off and on for about 20 minutes total. When it was time for the luau fire show, the GoPro would not turn back on. Very disappointing. It will be my only trip to Hawaii and I missed out on once in a lifetime footage. Needless to say, I will never buy another GoPro again. I would have given this 0 stars if I could.

Paired with the GoPro app, this camera does it all. I used the camera to video a deep well (about 18’ down) and was able to see everything from my phone using the app. It did great in low light conditions and the video stabilization is amazing.

So far, this works well. It hasn't been too tested yet as the purpose was for a study abroad opportunity (that has been postponed). Overall, works well for the minimal use it's had at this point. You'll need accessories when you purchase.

Build quality seems very good. When compared to the Hero9 I couldn't find many reasons to go with the 9 over the 8, and given the price difference, this one seemed to make the most sense. No regrets with that decision so far.

Main issue for losing a star is Battery life. Also you can not interchange and/or replace the lens housing if it get scratched. Personally do not find it easy to get images or movies off device and onto the computer.

Worked well. The only complaint was that when in the water, sometimes it wouldn’t turn back on and I had to pop out the battery and put it back in for it to work again. This wasn’t easy while trying to keep the internals dry while staying afloat.

I have the Hero 7 and purchased the Hero 8 for an extra camera. I like the Hero 8 with some of the newer features that the 7 doesn't have. It seems the battery life is slightly better for what that's worth.

Bought this for our family vacation and by far it has come in handy! Its convenience is out of this world with the use of the extender we are now able to take selfies without asking strangers to use our phones

Great product! I have been using this to capture video of my duck hunting mostly in the first person aspect. The only downfall is the low light video. If they could find a way to capture better low light video, I would give this action cam a 5 star rating.

I’ve purchased GoPro before but this one kept freezing and would not respond. I could not get any support or talk to anyone about what to do as far as trouble shooting because of the coronavirus times of course. After I exchange this for another one it would not charge pass 13% and it completely died eventually and won’t keep a charge. I have a new SD card on there which should work according to their website and also the charging Connection is according to what they recommend. Its very frustrating to pay so much and then have to go back and forth to get this product to do what it’s supposed to do. No luck so far after spending money on this and accessories. I’m taking this back to the store and trying a 3rd one or get a refund. The Best Buy location has been pleasant so far but I’ll update on how it goes when I talk to them about the about another issue with GoPro.

I adore this camera:. I've been a fan of gopro since back when they released the hero session. This one outdoes every aspect of its predecessors. I need another 5 and I'll use these as surveillance cams.

Was so excited, used it on my motorcycle to make my first video, was so much fun editing it and posting on line. Great gift for anyone

Great camera. Just have to tune it in the settings to get the quality you’re looking for. It’s small, light, and easy to use. Remember to get an sd card when you buy it, otherwise you won’t be able to take pictures or record.

The side door to the battery doesn’t stay closed and I’m afraid to use it in the rain or under water. It won’t let me edit the videos in the computer. So for it hasn’t been useful at all.

I purchased this to record my daughters softball games. The Best Buy manager told me I could record one game but would have to switch the battery between games. For that reason I bought an extra battery. Bad news is that the battery lasts at most no more than half the game and that’s it. Had I known this I would have went with a MEVO camera instead.
