The camera works wonderful. The stabilization feature is awesome. This is my first action camera and I really like it. I bought it to use riding dirt bikes. The only complaint would be the battery life is short when recording.

If you have never owed a go pro then it will be a learning curve but the basic settings are easy to learn right out of the box.I suggest watching some youtube videos to learn all about the action-y aspects and features.It is smaller then I am used to as camara sizes go.Weather your just going to be taking pics and videos of your family activities or you are into extreme sports and want to record the action,this is nice camara/video recorder.My only complaint is that there is something to be desired with the battery life.It is kinda annoying to have to own and carry four batteries minimum.One battery only lasts a couple hours and recording video will drain the battery faster.So you would have to have a way to charge them on the go if you did bring enough charged batteries with you.Over all I am loving my purchase.On this particular order best buy processed my order and delivered it quickly.

I use it when I ride my motorcycle 1) for safety and 2) to get nice footage of my rides. The camera quality is great. This is my first gopro but I have two complaints: its a little annoying to get footage from the camera to my phone and the battery life sucks.

Never owned a GoPro until this one. It does a very good job for how tiny it is. We actually used it to capture wedding video. I don’t like how the battery door easily comes off. Goes back on easily but is a bit annoying.

Used this for a hiking trip. Mounted on backpack strap. Worked out great. Battery changes are easy. It does get hot after being on for a bit. But never shut down. Battery life for long recordings longer than an hour. I would say not the best. Just an FYI. Turned it on when I felt it was needed, instead of just leaving it on. This model at the time of purchase is 2 gens behind I believe. Worked very well for less. I think battery is something they really need to figure out a way to improve. But at least it is not a permanent integrated Battery.

My best friend when it came to my d birth in the delivery room. We have all the memories recorded and it was so simple and easy to use. The features are at another level compared to previous models.

I love this new Hero 8. Easy to use and very compact. Make sure to buy an extra battery and micro SD card. Pictures come out good along with video. I’ve used this in Coco Cay and all the water slides. Lots of good videos.

They made improvements on this little camera. I know the hero 9 is out now too. For this camera making the bottom the actual mount was a good idea. The quality of video is a lot better and stabilization is huge

What a terrible purchase! Overheats and shuts down, very poor battery life, locks up often. I've heard these issues are not isolated to the Hero 8 but other generations as well. And the company, based on my conversations with them doesn't care. No desktop software provided. In fairness control options and quality is very good but that does not outweigh the negatives.

Wow! So much fun. Easy to use. The clarity is amazing. We have had so much fun with these. We also bought the protective case for them and that did not interfere with the use of it at all.

Love the camera, it records well and does what I need it to do. Easy to use and the quality of the videos are great. I use it to record my bike rides and my son when he plays sports. Glad I purchased the GoPro.

By far the best GoPro with boost image stabilization that makes it so you really don't even need a gimbal. I love the timelapse videos too, come out great even when everything is set to auto!! SO EASY to use!

Nice, compact,. Easy to use. I've been looking at this go pro for a while. Finally purchased and I'm glad I did. Really easy to use and it works great. Really good quality videos.

I’ve had this camera for a little over 18 months and while it works great in dry environment, I do not recommend it for water sports. I recently used this on a river tubing trip and the camera failed after approximately an hour of use. The camera was never submerged more than a foot and the battery door was fully closed. Upon my return, I contacted customer support and they informed me I had to pay $80 to get a replacement because the camera only comes with a one year limited warranty. If I were to pay the $80, I would have to wait 7-10 business days for the replacement to arrive, which is a major problem if you have an upcoming trip. I’m disappointed that GoPro won’t stand behind their product and I can’t recommend spending hundreds of dollars for a camera that will only last a year and a half, on dry land.

Great camera. We use it to live stream my son’s travel baseball games for family and it works great! Would be nice if the batteries would last longer though. We have to use an external battery

GoPro’s are the best sports/action cameras out there. They film in 4K and have a really cool internal stabilization feature. It’s great for any type of adventure!

Our last go pro was a hero 4- glad we waited for this one to upgrade- beautiful videos and stills- battery life was not as bad as we were lead to believe by other reviews but we had extras in case~

I was surprised how easy it was to start using the GoPro. Right out of the box within minutes I was able to start taking videos. Took a chance and tried it at thr lakeshore and it was 100% waterproof.

We used this camera to video our classes for distant learning. Unbelievable in ease of operation. Video quality is excellent. The bundle package is the only way to go. Very impressed with this product.

This GoPro is so solid. Great picture/video and easy to use. I am glad I upgraded. I love my GoPro Sessions and to add this legend to my collection and use is so rad. I am a proud user of GoPro.
