I got some great footage, and it was easy to use. I will probably like this camera even more when I learn how to use more of its specialized settings.

Look at other devices before a GoPro

It worked perfectly fine the first 3 days but then it started to overheat. I’m not sure why but it felt like it was going to explode. Take in mind this was a NEW GoPro. I turned it off immediately to let it cool down and try to use it again the following day but it didn’t turn on. I thought maybe my batteries were dead but in fact the GoPro just didnt work anymore. I only got about 2 hrs of recording. I returned this item as soon as I return. I would not recommend this device.

Black I love using it, am a huge fan of the results I have gotten out of filming on it. After using it on my Costa Rica vacation - ziplining, white water rafting and ocean kayaking, I can safely give it a solid 9 out of 10 stars. My only issue having had some problems with the voice control.

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera stopped working after a year… back display does not turn on. tried soft resetting and after way too many tries I got the screen to turn on a few times to factory reset the camera but it didn’t fix the issue and the back display never turns on. I’ve tried all the “fix solutions” from GoPro support website and none solved the problem. This GoPro hero8 is garbage and of course the camera malfunctions after the 1 year warranty. I’ve recorded less than 5 hours worth of videos and the camera malfunctions on me. I left the camera sitting in a drawer for about 4 months and try to turn it on and found it not working. I’ve never dropped the camera nor taken it into water so I don’t know what the issue is. I need a refund because I don’t know if I want to exchange for a new piece of the same crap Camera
