Got it for Christmas gift. Camera quality is good but I find a better deal for Hero 9 with 5K. Returned it.

Excellent product . However recommend buying a Protective case for this as Lens is tightly coupled with camera unlike Hero 7

Still have battery issue under cold or hot conditions. I like no case version They improved the shakiness, more stable.

my wife got this for me and i love it, it was on sale too bundle pack hehe i saved $150 and since it my 1st gopro im so stoke to play around with it, the tech in this small camera is so advance, to gimbal needed, bbuild quality is great, hyperlapse etc etc etc thanks bie, so hppy u got this for me =)

I have been skeptical to buy a GoPro since they first came out. I have to say that I love the 8, very user friendly and great photos. I haven’t mess around with it a lot. But I love the time lapse setting. I wish the bundle would come with a bigger micro sd but other than that really no complaint.

My grandson loves this! It got dropped about a week after I bought it, and he didn't know the screen was cracked when he dove into a river. Thankfully, I bought the Geed Squad protection. There was no hassle at all in getting a replacement.

I've had GoPro's going back to the 3, and they continued to improve right up to the release of the 7 Black. So many positives, but even that one I returned because of the menu system. The 8 Black is a much improved menu, but I was heart broken when I got it home and found out the fixed the lens? My camera's are helmet mounted, wing mounted on a King Air, handlebar mounted for Trials, and cage mounted on a CanAm Maverick 1000R. So if I don't spend more on lens covers, or a case, I throw it away the same day I buy it because I scratch the lens? The Gopro Skydive Team was out at Erda UT doing some jumps last year and they were pumping the upcoming Hero 8, I can only imagine their disappointment. Ps. the Gopro Team is the coolest bunch of guys they themselves know. It will work well for most, but if you're going to beat it up get a case at most, or glass screen covers at the least. I can't say for sure, but my image quality on the 7 Black looks better than the 8 Black at 1080p. When I took it back today I picked up the OSMO Action (I will provide a separate review).

this was great bundle that i purchased for my father. he was very happy with the gift. He had been wanting to get a gopro for his upcoming trip through central america. Looking foreword to all the great pictures and videos he will bring back with him.

Best action camera for skiing. Had go pro 9 but I recommend and prefer this.

Got it as a gift for my husband and he loves it! Only thing is that the battery dies quick.

Great quality video. Only complaint is the wait for pick up. But it was not that bad!

I hated switching batteries / cards on the Hero 7. It was such a hassle to undo the shell and remove the camera first. This GoPro is a world of difference in that is has shedded the frustrating shell! this means quicker swaps and more filming!
