I have always wanted a “action camera “ and when I received it for my gifts I was truly amazed. I used it to capture our outing on a ski lift ,swimming pool,biking,running and I was so happy that I got it on video! I used it to shoot a home movie too! If you want to capture anything action I would be the 1 to offer this camera.

Use this with just a chesty and the stabilization and picture is great.

Some reviewers didnt like the hero8 because the lens cover cant be changed like the older models. Some didnt like the mount or battery door. I am glad I didn't let those rewiews stop me from getting it. This is the best gopro to date. Not having a removeable lens cover, the folding mount and the battery door are improvments from the older models. The camera hardware is the same as the 7 but the os is a lot better. Bestbuy and Gopro are the only places I'd recommend purchasing from. You dont know what you'll get from Amazon and good luck if you have problems. Get the Bestbuy or Gopro warranty and you wont have to worry about it breaking.

Wanted to add hero 8 to my GoPro collection. Wanted more stabilization than hero 7 offered. This bundle provided me with extra battery (plus one that normally comes with camera) that I would've needed to purchase anyway. The small hand held tripod should be handy as well. Having spare sd card is also a plus although only a 32gb. Headstrap is not a necessity for me, but may be important to others.

This device is clean to go out on adventures and the tri pod comes clutch when you want to set up the camera for a picture. You can also use your phone to control and take the photo when your ready. A timer appears on the little screen in front letting you know when it’s going to take the shot. Great photos too. But actually I’m remembering my camera did look a little messed up on the screen when I got it fresh out the box and it does freeze and one time it did not want to turn on. Even says my sd card is corrupted sometimes randomly even when it’s perfectly fine. I’ve probably only have had it for 30 days. It is up to date also.
