Bought this drone in store. I previously had a 3DR Solo and loved it. but I wanted something that was more portable. after reading tons of reviews i decided to bite the billet and get the $799 version since i already had the hero4 silver. this drone is so easy to use. I had no issues updating it, flying it taking great pictures and videos. Its surprisingly quiet too I gave it 4 stars since the battery doesnt last 20 mins like it says. I flew it about 8 times since i bought it and the battery lasts about 15mins. so buy another one!

Not my first drone. I will tell you the good and the bad. The good, Easy to fly Easy controller nice how controller folds to cover and protect screen. And I love how it comes with a back pack and is so compact and easy to carry the entire drone. Comes with karma grip that's 300 bucks in itself. The bad, Lots of updates out the box. Does tend to drift a little bit. Manual controls and auto landing suck with no sensors. Have to be afraid of it hitting something. Overall I recommend this to first time drone pilots. It's a good start.

This is my first drone and I am pleased. Great product! From my understanding GoPro has closed the drone line. So be cautious on parts and services. Pros: Ease of use. From backpack to air in a short time. Controller and features. Best grip and gimbal combination on the market. Cons: Price and availability of parts especially for drone. Warranty Battery life for drone is sub par. You need at least two extra batteries but at $100 each yikes.

I do music video production AND engineering investigations, and have land that I need to view from the air. This thing is PERFECT for ALL of the above. Very easy to use, which surprised me. I LOVE this thing.

First drone and since I already owned a GoPro camera decided to go with this drone. I was surprised at how easy it was to fly having never been a gamerand unfamiliar with joysticks. Just wish the battery lasted longer. GoPro says 18 minutes of flight though best I have gotten is 16. Really like the automatic return to start point when battery battery gets low. It lands within a foot or two of take off point.

This has to be one of the BEST purchases I have made in a long time it is so easy to operate, And if you do have a accident parts are available at Best Buy!!

Great drone. Super easy to fly and great interface/control with the GoPro camera. Really easy to fly like a pro. Just wish it had collision avoidance. The bag that comes with it is perfect for carrying the drone around with you!! The Karma Grip works awesome and was a major reason I bought this drone over others.

This is the best drone for GoPro filmmakers. Easy to fly/control. Awesome footage captured with Hero 5.

bought this drone because already had the hero 5 and glad I did my 11 year old son could fly it from day one

It’s a very easy drone to use as long as it connects to the controller and picks up a gps location which it sometimes fails to do. It simply allows me to take some good aerial shots with my GoPro which is really all I need it to do so I’m satisfied.

The Karma might not be the most nimble, fastest or highest flying drone available but for stable high quality and stable video it's great. No complaints so far. Love it!

I have flown my drone for about an hour of flight time, which a few times given the battery lasts 18 minuets depending on your flight style. The first couple of times turning it on was a headache because the controller would say the drone wasn’t turned on or the gimbal or camera weren’t connected. That is rare to happen now though. If the drone loses GPS signal during flight, it will take off with the wind. That has only happened once with me, but thankfully I was testing it at eye level on a windy day. No one (or drone) was injured, but it was scary. I love that it came with a case, extra propellers, and the Karma Grip. The grip is the reason I bought this drone as my first over the Magic. If I crash and burn, at least I’ll still have the Karma Grip. I enjoy this drone, but I look forward to buying the Magic Pro or Air next.

Have well over 12 years remote control experience ranging from planes to cars and drones. This thing was great for the first 2 weeks i had it. Multiple shots and great footage. But randomly one day decided to try to fly away. Luckily i was holding it in my hand and grabbed the landing gear before it could dart off. Have it a second chance. Reset everything. Re calibrated everything, and before i could even swipe up on the remote, the drone took off on its own. Again i was lucky to react and grab the landing gear and ripped the battery out. To expensive to be flying away :/. GoPro your cameras and gear is great. But your drone needs better satellite capabilities for gps interference :/.

This drone is AWESOME! The boyfriend had a Phantom and this was his birthday upgrade. It blows the Phantom away.

I was so excited to finally make the purchase of the GoPro Karma, which I had been eyeing since it came out. It's a pretty great drone in my opinion, but did wish it went a bit faster. I've had a great time using it so far. My only disappointment was that the Karma Grip didn't work from the start. It kept saying USB connected when I connected my Hero5 camera to the grip and couldn't get it to work after calling GoPro tech support either. The good thing is that they are replacing it, but still disappointing to get a defective product when purchased. As a GoPro investor, that didn't sit well with me especially when I read that other people had the same issue. When you are spending over $800 I expect the whole product to work and it didn't. That was my only disappointment.

Read all the negatives and if you are comparing the Karma to any DJI, don't. Think of the Karma as an extension of your GoPro. A way to get that great GoPro quality aerial. If flying is your only goal, then pick something else. If smooth video and ease of flying is your goal, I think you will be quite happy.

This drone in my opinion is better than others in terms of of performance. For the size and weight. You will be surprised to see how agile it can be. An absolute thrill and total enjoyment. Oh yeah and the camera is epic as well.

I have the DJI PHantom 4 and the go pro karma drone. And I must say that the go pro karma and is almost just as good as it more expensive counterpart. Upon opening the box it is just a quick set up. When you turn on the controller. It comes with a easy game that teaches you how to fly the drone, and after that you are up flying in no time. The best part about the drone is that as time goes bye you don’t have to buy a new drone to get a better camera you can just upgrade your go pro. I would recommend to anyone to get
