This make the camera work without having to pair it with your phone, in a pinch you can turn it on and just snap pictures and video without wasting time or missing the shot because your phone isn't ready.

So this is a great addition if you have a lot of batteries charged and waiting. Especially if you are going to use it for a long time. This thing kills the battery time. I got about 4.5 hrs without it and about 45mins with it. It does what it says so it's ok just bad battery life.

I loved my GoPro HERO4 Black but I love it even more with this Bacpac. It makes it soooo much easier to operate the camera and change the settings and is great to be able to see what you are recording when you can't connect to your phone.

Works great....even the touchback screen works under water ( I tried it in a pool ...not deep...just to film my dog swimming.) At last I don't have to use the app on my iPhone to see what I am shooting. No more opps...the subject is just off center a bit.

Having the screen is very helpful, so I can easily tell what settings I have on and if am recording or not. I wish I would have had this last year on vacation, thought I was taking some nice videos of some squid, and was not even recording...

A fine enhancement to the GoPro. Great for lining up shots, gives immediate feedback. When you're out in the boonies, below the surface, or in midair, can you stop and hook up the HDMI or video cables? It is what it is, and does what it does very well.

I really like this LCD BacPac, it's a great addition to the Hero4 Black.Very helpful to have at night and for handheld shooting. Wish it came on the Hero4 Black like it does on the Silver.

Purchased a Hero3+ Silver, and of course it didn't have an LCD monitor. I've used my GoPro many times and though I've been extremely happy with it, the LCD monitor was the one missing feature. I find my GoPro much more useable now.

I have been enjoying the laptop so far... Sturdy sleek thin design makes it great for carrying around the office and to meetings... Solid State Drives make it very quick... touch screen seems very accurate... highly recommend...

I don't really need the LCD attachment but it's great if you want the perfect angles without having to use the app or wait until you unload it onto your computer. Worth it since everything mentioned above is why I got one

I needed a way to see what I was filming through a snorkel mask on vacation. This provided the solution. The LCD screen provided a user friendly experience both in and out of the water. Totally worth the purchase for me.

It's not been understood by me or many other GoPro users why the GP4B did not have a touch screen as the GP4S did. UNfortunately, the necessary add on destroys the form factor for many applications. Gotta have it though. The app through the phone as a monitor has a lag and it won't monitor 2.7 at 60 fps.

I bought this GoPro for my boyfriend's birthday this past September. We have used it on some biking trips and are taking it up to the mountains in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to see what our hiking trip looks like through the lens.

Not necessary for the go pro 4. Only useful for go pros without a touch screen

I don't know why we didn't get this display right from the start. It makes a HUGE difference to be able to see what you're filming. Definitely would recommend!

Without product, difficult to focus and take accurate picture without putting eye against viewfinder, which is hard when in action or when in crowds taking pictures.

Enables viewing movies in the field just in case you need to reshoot a portion of your movie. Made my Hero 3 into a Hero 4.

Yes there is an app for it but do you want to take the chance of something happening to your phone? This is easy to install and comes with the appropriate housings for it to be used. Worth the cost.
