Its alot brighter then I could of imagined . And has many modes.

The light defusers it comes with are crappy they fall off easy. Otherwise the light it self is great.

The go pro light is a must have accessory. The battery life lasts longer than my go pro battery.

With go pro being all about attachments, this has got to be the laziest design they have made. You have to buy the microphone mod to be able to attach this thing to your camera and be able to use any kind of underside attachment with the go pro itself. This makes no sense at all as this thing is rated to go about as deep underwater as the gopro by itself... except that the microphone mod is not waterproof at all. Seriously? They couldn't make this come with a better attachment method so you could go underwater at night? Granted, it wound illuminate underwater all that far, but still... what was the point of this? It's just lazy and that is all there is to it. They could have at least made an attachment for it that kept it on the camera while retaining the waterproof feature. If you are considering getting a light attachment for underwater use, may I recommend you go with a third party option on this one. Otherwise your options are quite limited with this one. That being said, the light is fairly bright and it IS waterproof and rechargeable... it's just that the waterproof is almost useless without a proper attachment, so you are stuck with this thing off camera... seriously... just lazy design also at the highest light setting, this thing dies fairly fast. If you have cash and are okay with a light for the mic mod above water, okay... but for anything else... it's just dumb

Brightness is great, softening filter works well. You need the media mount to attach it tho.

Light was exactly what we wanted but we purchased a open box and it was missing parts. We dont live near a Best Buy so we missed the timeline to return it. I am ordering this item new this time and hope that the item has all its parts.

After going through all the loop holes on finding a light for a go pro hero 8 on your website, i finally found this one after yall continuously kept trying to sell me the wrong make and model besides the bs yall put me through it was a great buy too bad i couldnt get it in time for my girls birthday because every single location near me wasnt in stock, excepted more from yall might be the last time i buy from best buy

I love this little thing. I've had to use this during a power outage a few times and it helped out a lot. If you buy this and mount it on a media mod. Make sure YOU DO NOT put it on backwards. From what I've heard and seen it is nearly impossible to dislodge it!
