Media Mod is functional

Ive not added anything beyond the enhanced microphone that comes standard but i suspect i will in the future

Excellent sound recording

Before installing, watch a couple of youtube videos for fast installation, I was kind of loss when I got it, but it serves it purpose, excellent sound recording while Magic Kingdom fireworks event

Had to Purchase

It worked as advertised. I used it to stream directly from my GoPro 9 to my TV. I had to buy it because unlike earlier GoPro models the GoPro 9 doesn't feature an HDMI built plug in the camera so you HAVE to purchase the Media Mod kit if you want that feature.

The directional mic that is included in the mod is not great (solid though), but you can‘t expect much more for the price. What makes this great is the possibility to connect external mics, lights and more.

The lack of water protection doesn’t much concern me with its planned usage and the ease of charging now is a welcome bonus

Its remotes out Audio, Video, and USB connections to the frame so they can be easily connected - much easier than without this frame. Very light weight while feeling robust.

The mic quality on the hero 10 itself is way better than the quality on the mod mic imo. Has the extra 3.5mm jack & hdmi mini and 2 cold shoes. Also gives extra layer protection to the GoPro.
