Terrible design. If you have it on a mount, you must take off mount, then remove case, just to replace battery; remove micro SD card. Tried to return after three weeks (not used) but Best Buy said I only had two weeks to return, which is not disclosed on the website (unless I missed it).

I give it 2 Stars because it doesn't seem to have any better mics then the built in go pro mics. Unfortunately you have to buy this if you want to use any wireless mic systems. The positive is that it has two cold shoe mounts. The build quality is definitely cheap.

It is a good accesory for Your GoPro now you can put flash and hook up mics I love it however the material for the mic cover can be improved

I got this for use on my motorcycle. It's helpful, but not required to be safe at all.

The mic sucks the gropro10 mic better, how ever when I’m using a shotgun mic it’s better just for the connection

Junk, do not buy. It will kill your camera and it won’t work right even after removing. GoPro should send me a brand new one for free. No questions asked! I didn’t learn till afterward, that this was a common problem. I wish I did!

Light works great! Very bright and good battery life.

Totally displeased with this product. Functions not intuitive, very small screen and don’t make it incredibly difficult to see and operate properly. Difficult to turn off recording quickly. Waste of a lot of money.

Way to go GoPro. I have to buy some $80 dollar housing to hook up a better mic.

Great product. Works well, mic is better than stock, and you can use a mic as well. You can charge the camera through it, but you do have to remove it to upload videos to a computer.

The mod Fit perfect and got it earlier than expected.

I'm not giving this 5 stars for two reasons. The first is that the capabilities that come with the media mod should be standard for the camera by itself. I shouldn't have to buy an $80 mod in order to attach a mic. The built-in mic is awful, so an external mic is necessary. I shouldn't have to modify my camera to make it do basic things that cameras should be able to do. The second is that I have to remove the camera from the media mod to download my videos/pics onto my computer. It charges with the mod attached, but I cannot download. That can be incredibly annoying. Apparently this is very common? Other than that, it does what it is supposed to do (and honestly... it does what the camera should be able to do by itself...)

Works great! Took on vacay and it worked great. Would recommend.

Works very well with my go pro hero 9. I even inserted an external microphone on the audio jack and works very fine.

Eh it works not seeing much advantage to it for the price. Has audio issue where microphones will cut out if plugged into it in the middle of the footage so have to use just the built in microphone that’s part of the mod. Not sure why it was returned and sold open box but I think I’m starting to see why.

Don't understand the high reviews, but the mic is too directional. If you choose rear, the front will be very muffled, not ideal for blogging when speaking to others from behind the camera. I highly recommend using this with a Rode.
