A Must Have Accessory

Amazing, and the addition port for an external microphone does amazing things for the quality of the audio.

Love the dual cold shoes, compact size, connectors, and mic. Added customizable settings for connected mic is perfect. Do not like that I have to remove the entire mount to change the battery. It is not an easy or quick process.

Media Mod

Love that it allows you to use it with or without a battery via pass thru mode. Super convinient as I can plug the Gopro right into my ebike and not worry about running out of battery. Also having a light attachment for the dark winters here in the Arctic, is very nice as it enables good contrast for picking up falling snow, which otherwise can be difficult to capture.

GoPro no longer waterproof with the Mod. Mic is OK, most people connect and external mic. All depends upon your needs.

Nice for Helmet Mounting

Necessary if you own a GoPro hero 9

The external add on mics are good but not great, but now having all media ports and cold shoe adapter makes this a must for video production.
