Received the Mission Pro 1 last week as an upgrade from my Hero 12 and 13 (I’m still keeping those). I love the features and ease of use as always. Quality is 100% and the images / video are amazing. Would recommend to anyone! Can’t wait to see what else will be released in the future from GoPro.

I have been upgrading GoPros nearly every year for the last 5, but this year it seems to have fully gotten beaten out by the latest iphone. Despite having a bigger sensor, the colors, and the resolution don't hold up in comparison. Great camera in the action camera world, but I think they are falling a bit behind in the competition across the board. If you are looking for a camera and don't have a good phone, its a great alternative. Once you get into the newer gen phones, its getting harder and harder for there to be a reason to keep upgrading.

Got this for diving. The color grading and clarity in dive mode is extremely impressive. The drawback is the very long focal length which is making me question whether to hang on to it or return.

what a camera! I recently took it with me on our July 4th beach trip, and it ended up being one of the best purchases I’ve made for capturing family memories. From sunrise on the beach to fireworks after dark, it handled every situation incredibly well. One of the biggest things that stood out was how easy it was to use right out of the box. The menus are intuitive, and I was able to switch between recording modes quickly without missing any of the action. The image quality is excellent, with sharp details, vibrant colors, and smooth footage even while walking along the shoreline or filming our kids running through the waves. I was especially impressed with the stabilization. Normally handheld footage at the beach can end up looking shaky because you're walking on uneven sand, but the video came out surprisingly smooth and professional-looking. The camera also handled the bright sunlight and changing lighting conditions really well. We recorded throughout the day, from the intense afternoon sun to the evening fireworks display, and the exposure adjusted nicely without constantly blowing out highlights or making darker scenes difficult to see. The audio was better than I expected too. Even with the sound of the waves and the wind, conversations were still understandable, which made the videos feel much more immersive when we watched them back. Battery life was solid for a full day of on-and-off recording, and carrying an extra battery made it easy to keep filming whenever something memorable happened. I also appreciated how compact and lightweight the camera is. It fit easily into a beach bag, and I never felt like I was carrying bulky equipment around all day. The rugged design gave me confidence using it near the water and sand without constantly worrying about damaging it. After getting home, transferring the footage was straightforward, and the videos looked fantastic on a larger screen. Watching the clips brought back all the memories from the trip, from playing in the surf and walking along the shoreline to the incredible fireworks show that night. Friends and family who watched the videos commented on how clear and cinematic everything looked. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the GoPro Mission 1 Pro Camera. It delivered excellent video quality, dependable stabilization, simple operation, and the durability you'd expect from an action camera. It made capturing our July 4th beach vacation effortless, and the footage turned out better than I had hoped. The new GoPro Mission 1 Pro is to date the best camera GoPro has ever made, and that’s saying a lot. After some issues with overheating with past cameras, GoPro went to work to make sure the Mission 1 didn’t have any such issues. The new GP3 processor is not only fast, but has better thermal qualities than previous cameras. I’m happy to say that even on long shoots I haven’t experienced any heat issues. The new 1 inch sensor is phenomenal! GoPro has done some cool tricks to make sure you don’t miss much when the light is low. I’ve been very impressed with just how much light it can capture, and how it manages to avoid artifacts so common in most cameras. GoPro has always been good when things are bright, but the 50 MP images that come from the Mission 1 are really, really good. Colors are not blown out, but are true to life, and detail coming from the 1 inch sensor is just exceptional. The sensor also makes for next level video. It’s advertised as producing cinematic quality. If you don’t believe it, just watch the video GoPro created on their website. Though the Mission 1 Pro is designed for content creators, vloggers, and filmmakers, it maintains the ruggedness GoPro is known for. It weighs slightly more because of the 1 inch sensor, but the improvements in video quality, including low-light situations, make the extra weight a good tradeoff. Lastly, audio quality is really good. So good that for many shoots the internal mics are all you need. I said “mics” because there are 4 of them. I know I’m gushing about this camera, but it really is that good. And I didn’t even mention how good image stabilization is and how easy it is to set up and transfer content, or that it’s waterproof out of the box, or how good battery life is. GoPro really stepped up the game with the Mission 1 and now everybody else will be busy trying to catch up!

I've been testing the new GoPro Mission 1 Pro action camera for the past week. I've owned multiple GoPros over the years, and overall, I think it is the fastest and best-performing action cam GoPro has produced to date. Everything was packaged well; inside the box were the camera, a USB-C cable, and a GoPro mount. However, it would have been nice if it came with a case, considering the premium price it fetches. This iteration of the GoPro has a lot of welcome new features. The first ones that stand out to me are the raised buttons. I love this design because I am able to activate the camera and switch modes by just feeling the buttons instead of looking. The lens hood is another nice feature. It slips onto the end of the lens and increases image quality by preventing extra light from hitting the sensor. While on the topic of the sensor, the new 1-inch sensor is a fantastic upgrade that enables recording at incredible resolutions. Additionally, the mount on the bottom folds in, allowing for a flat base. It also features a magnet, which is a nice touch, but it is not strong enough to hold the weight of the camera. The operating system is noticeably faster. Switching between camera modes, focal lengths, and aspect ratios is very quick. Viewing and loading footage and images are also very fast and seamless. The built-in microphone does an excellent job of capturing sound and voices; however, it also picks up a lot of wind noise. Luckily, GoPro offers a fantastic wireless microphone system that is sold separately. Finally, the battery charges really fast and lasts a lot longer. Also, unlike previous generations, this GoPro has never overheated. With that said, the Mission 1 Pro is an excellent action cam, and it easily earns my recommendation.

I like the improved image quality and the higher frame rates.

For the work i do, for the quality i need , on the go, things cant getmuch better than this

GoPro Mission 1 Pro Camera is designed to get into the action. It can handle the weekend warrior or the cinematic genius, and it captures up to 8K video that will blow your mind. It has a high-res front screen that supports vlog mode, which is very cool since I like to post on social media. It also takes very immersive 50 MP photos. The updated thermal protection keeps the camera cooler during extended use. See a video in real time. Mission Pro also has very good video stabilization, which helps capture video when you're moving or not on a gimbal. I was very surprised by the audio quality from the camera's speaker when reviewing my content; it was very clear. The compact size is really nice. And don’t let me forget to tell you that The Mission 1 is waterproof. So if you want to take a picture or video of tropical fish or the kids in the pool, the GoPro is waterproof to 66 feet. The slow-motion shots are insane, with selectable frame rates of 240 fps, 480 fps, and 960 fps; the end result will blow you away. It has a straightforward menu that gives you access to all the features, such as vlog mode and tracking, which keeps you in the energy shot. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time, and it also charges impressively quickly. It comes with everything you need, including a carrying pouch, and I definitely recommend that. The lens definitely needs to be protected when not in use. If you are a social media person, an outdoor adventurer, or a nature enthusiast, this is definitely the total-package camera.

I am really enjoying this GoPro camera. It checks all the boxes. I comes with a lens cover, cord, adhesive mount, but no sd card. For the price, I thought it should have come with it. I found the unit to be a bit heavy, but a good quality build. It makes up for it’s weight with all of the great features. The battery charged pretty fast. So far the battery life seems pretty good. It is hard to open the battery compartment, which was a bit odd. The buttons are easy to mash, which makes taking pictures a breeze. The app that is used for this camera is excellent. It has a lot of nice features. You can pretty much operate the camera from the app. This app has so many positives, I’m enjoying using it. It works well with communication between the phone and the camera. Pictures a very clear. I was very impressed with the picture quality. 4k speed holds up very well and slow mo pictures are clear and sharp. The deep rich tones make you feel like you can reach out and touch what’s in the picture, very impressive. Low light setting are surprisingly very clear. There are several different modes, all that I have tried so far work very well. Action shots are amazing. I can’t say enough about this camera. It’s great and works very well. I would highly recommend. My only con was that I wish it came with more accessories.

Colors look vibrant, and overall detail is a clear step up from earlier generations. - Well-designed camera interface: The menus are intuitive and thoughtfully organized. Switching between modes and adjusting settings is quick, making the overall experience feel polished and user-friendly. - Excellent mobile app: The companion app made transferring photos and videos to my phone simple and surprisingly fast. It's responsive, easy to navigate, and makes reviewing or sharing footage almost effortless. - Outstanding stabilization: The built-in stabilization does an incredible job smoothing out handheld footage. Whether walking, biking, or capturing action, the video comes out impressively steady without much effort. The Bad: - Occasional Wi-Fi connection issues: Connecting directly to the camera's Wi-Fi can be a little inconsistent. It eventually connects every time, but the process isn't always as smooth or reliable as it should be. - No zoom while recording: One feature I found myself missing was the ability to adjust zoom during active video recording. You can set the framing before you start filming, but not once recording is underway. - Premium pricing: The Mission 1 Pro definitely sits in the higher end of the action camera market. While the feature set helps justify the cost, it may be more than casual users are looking to spend. Overall: The Mission 1 Pro is a major step forward and feels like the most complete action camera GoPro has released. Excellent battery life, outstanding image quality, reliable stabilization, and polished software make it a pleasure to use. A couple of small annoyances prevent it from earning a perfect score, but they're easy to overlook given everything else it does so well. It's an excellent choice for anyone looking for a premium action camera.

So far so good. Coming from a Hero 10 obviously the sensor is much larger. 4k video recording is excellent. It’s a shame that memory is so high. You need a big and fast card and after adding a couple accessories the more realistic cost is in the $900 range. Probably my favorite things are the built in mics and Hypersmooth image stabilization. Low light recording is excellent also. Content creators and filmmakers will probably get the most benefit here. I added the camera grip attachment also. I have really enjoyed using it as a point and shoot camera especially after adding the attachment. I had no issues with it after a dunk in the pool and probably got GoPro a few more sales because everyone loved trying it. There is something retro nice about using a point and shoot style camera even though this can do so much more. The focus is outstanding. I actually prefer the fixed focus mode. Keeps it simpler for the non-professionals. Just keep in mind again the starting cost is just that. You will be adding memory and there is already a plethera of cool accessories that make the experience even better.

The GoPro Mission 1 Pro is easily the most impressive action camera I've used, packing cinematic video quality into a compact, light, and rugged body. With a huge range of shooting formats, a waterproof rating without additional housing, and flexible mounting options, this is a strong option for anyone looking to capture life's more active moments without putting their phone in harm's way. The video and picture quality are the banner features here, and they're amazing. The Mission 1 Pro is built around a 50MP 1-inch sensor, which is a massive step up from traditional action cams, and the results show: footage is sharp, colors are accurate, and the dynamic range keeps both highlights and shadows intact, even in tricky outdoor lighting. Photos are also quite good, which isn't something I've been able to say about an action camera before. Beyond the raw image quality, the format flexibility of the Mission 1 Pro is a huge win as well. You get a ton of options here, topping out at 8K60, with 4K up to 240fps for buttery slow motion and plenty of resolutions and framerates in between. Whatever the moment calls for, whether that's maximum detail or dramatic slow-mo of the kids in action, there's a mode for it. Shooting at 8K also gives you the freedom to crop and reframe after the fact in editing without losing 4K quality, which has been genuinely useful for salvaging shots where the framing wasn't quite right in the moment. On top of all that, the camera can also shoot in portrait orientation, which is a huge bonus if you share to social media; getting native vertical footage without cropping down a horizontal shot is a great feature. Additionally, the front screen has been phenomenal in practice; being able to confirm framing when the camera is pointed at you takes the guesswork out of self-shot footage. The form factor of the Mission 1 Pro rounds out a very solid camera. This thing is compact, light, and, critically, waterproof to 66 feet right out of the box with no additional housing required. This is in contrast to older GoPros of the past that I've owned, and is also double the depth rating of the Hero line, meaning pools, lakes, rain, and beach days are all a non-concern without an extra accessory. GoPro's mounting mechanism is what makes the whole setup so flexible. I paired mine with the floating hand grip, which has been perfect for the water days I've been capturing lately, and swapping between the grip and other mounts takes seconds. Overall, I've used it mostly for family activities outdoors, and it lets me capture footage in situations where I simply wouldn't be comfortable pulling out my phone. Water, sand, drops... the Mission 1 Pro shrugs it all off without a second thought. With all the positives outlined here, I do have a few gripes. The wealth of shooting formats comes with a battery life trade-off; high resolution and framerate modes drain the battery quite quickly. The interface and UI could also be a bit more intuitive. It's mostly fine, especially once you get used to it, but finding the right setting in the moment isn't always as quick as it should be, and there's a bit of a learning curve I didn't expect. Finally, perhaps the most annoying of my gripes, the battery door is difficult to open. This matters in practice because you're required to open this door to charge the camera. It's a small issue in the grand scheme (and the door is likely hard to open to maintain the aforementioned amazing waterproofing rating), but one that I've grappled with repeatedly as I've had to recharge the camera. Overall, I'm very happy with the Mission 1 Pro. It nails the fundamentals: incredible image quality, a format for every situation, and a rugged, waterproof design that goes where phones cannot. Gripes aside, this has become one of my favorite ways to capture life's moments that I'd otherwise miss trying to protect my phone. If you're looking for an action camera that genuinely delivers on quality, this one is worth your consideration.

This GoPro is honestly one of the best deals in its category for raw performance and versatility. The 1-inch sensor is honestly what sold me on wanting to get this so badly. If you are interested in good more natural-looking colors and better low-light performance without the image noise, you are going to want to look into this model the inclusion of the lens hood as well to reduce glare is a huge bonus. I feel like GoPro shows time and time again how much they care about their customers and this is just one more demonstration of that. What I was also very appreciative of is how excellent these resolutions and frame rate bumps are. This is a very “2026 and on” capable action camera, and while I honestly will not be filming or editing in 8K anytime soon, it is just excellent know that the hardware is here in my possession now capable of doing it. The only caution I have to offer about this purchase is just what others have pointed out that sometimes there will be issues getting part of the frame in focus at distance. As long as you are aware of this, I think this GoPro is absolutely one of the best to date and is going to be a game changer for my film work!

I have always wanted a Go Pro and decided to give it a go with the new lens, combined with the fact that I'm a Creator who is always looking for creative ways to create videos of an interesting, and fun nature. The first part is the setup and I will say it did not go smoothly unfortunately. First of all I have very few items that require a small memory card. Oh btw you have to buy a good memory card, be careful what you pick and buy from an established retailer such as Best Buy. My issue was at first, the camera said the memory card was bad. But it wasn't bad, it was just not pushed in all the way. So the tech support folks, who were great by the way, told me to try a different card. That didn't work, but i looked closely and the card was not all the way into the unit. I pushed it hard with my fingernail, harder than one would think, and voila! that fixed it. Tech support, to their credit did offer me a new unit, but we got it working. How does it work? It's amazing. I'd recommend to get a bigger memory card though. I cannot speak to batteyr life as I've just not had it long enough. It's amazing picture, a heck of a piece of technology, just watch getting that memory card in all the way!
