Well, batteries being batteries, my previous two GoPro batteries had begun to swell up--almost too fat to put in the charger. These new ones are great though.

Bottom line that if you just have one battery for your GoPro8, you're doing yourself a disservice! I burn through my batteries using my GoPro for SCUBA and other outdoor activities, My rule is 2 additional back ups. You don't want to run out of juice on that second or third dive when you run into a shark, eagle ray or a dolphin!

When it comes to GoPro bar batteries you definitely want to get the originals! Especially with the new GoPro hero eight and go Pro Max since these batteries deliver the extra power these action cameras need to perform at their best! I have four of them in my bag and I have never ran out of battery time in just one day of shooting or two!

One of the ways that third party batteries fail is to swell up enough to become stuck in the camera they are powering. I've had several swell up, but I was lucky enough to not have them in my camera when they did. Realizing the bullet that I dodged in the pursuit of saving a few pennies, I no longer purchase third - party batteries. I've never had a brand - name battery fail and I'm willing to pay a little extra for the peace of mind that brings. The GoPro battery itself works perfectly and gives me about 90 minutes of record time on my Hero 8 cameras. I would advise you to get the external charger since it seems to charge the batteries much quicker than if they are in the GoPro.

Always nice to have a spare battery for the GoPro. Best Buy always has them in stock! Decent life for 4k video

I was tired of my battery running out of power in 45 min. This battery is long lasting and you can use the camera throughout the day with one charge. Also , not listed in the description but it works on the GoPro 2018 if you update the software.

It works perfectly. Just what I need to capture more moments. I use this a spare especially when I'm travelling.

Decent battery life. I like that you can get these batteries in pairs.

Bought as spare for my Gopro 8 and glad I did for a ski day with my daughter. Temperature dropped below 20F and batteries ran out quick, and glad I have an extra. Charged it using power bank right inside my backpack and ready to go when the other went out, which is about 2 hours.

Bought this right after I got my GoPro 8. I ordered some off brand batteries for my hero 6 & they turned out to be junk so when I got my hero 8 I decided to pay a little bit more for the real thing & glad I did. These batteries are so much better.

I picked up this when I bought my Hero8 because, after years of buying batteries that are off-brand, I have learned that the real thing works best with products. For the price, it is a good extra to have for your Hero8.

I bought a couple of these batteries for my GoPro and they last longer than the original ones it came with. At $20 each I can’t complain, especially since it’s GoPro brand. Would recommend! I might pick some more up myself

In my experience, you can never have enough battery power back up to your GoPro, so this is the best option in my opinion

Great to have an extra battery when going on vacation and taking lots of pictures and movies. I understood the battery would last for an hour worth of video recording so purchased extra batteries.
