Bad batteries

I’ve never used the camera, only turned it on a few times. One battery busted inside the camera and the other one will not charge at all. My camera will not even turn on. I’ve watched several other videos on YouTube of the same problem. I am looking to switch brands…this is ridiculous for a brand new $300 camera!
