The battery is small, and you will burn through them pretty fast. I would recommend at least 4 batteries charged and ready to go for any day trip. They dont take up much space, and you will kick yourself if you have a dead battery and something cool happens. My rule of thumb is if there isnt a video to prove it, it didnt happen.

I'm sure this battery is great..however I had to return it because the Best Buy staff sold me this while I also was buying my GoPro 4. If you read the production descriptions..it's only good with HERO3 or HERO3+ Edition cameras. I wasn't clear on this while buying. They just threw in everything I'd need and made a mistake.

Works fine, lasts a long time, the price was right.

Can never have too many GoPro batteries. You will always run out at the absolute worst time. For $11.99, grab as many as you can! For an OEM battery, that price is very very affordable. Battery life isn't the best but it also is not the worst. For what the camera does and the cost of the battery, it receives a 5-star.

Bought this as second for go-pro. Allows longer use of camera, especially if you're away from a place to charge.

Don't buy the knock off brand batteries. Buying the GoPro brand spares ensures that your supplying the correct juice to your GoPro. These could have a little more life in them but hey I'm okay with having fully charged spares ready to pop in at a moments notice of the GoPro running low, and so should you.

Reasonable price for Original part Gopro battery. I would recommend best buy for a backup go pro batter.

I bought a bunch of these for backups for my GoPros and they are great to have. Little bummed they will not work for the GoPro 4 but still very pleased with them on the GoPro 3 and GoPro 3+.

We use multiple GoPro cameras daily, and rely upon that footage for security as well as end product, commercial footage. In other words, we simply cannot afford to have a battery fail in the field. After trying several other bands of batteries, to save cost or even in times borrowing other photog's off brand batteries when our shot ran over time, we have found the original, GoPro brand batteries, to work the longest and most consistently. Gratefully our local Best Buys continue to stock large quantites of GoPro accessories as we count on them often to have the GoPro supplies we need available for quick purchase every day of the week.

I thought it was a lot more convenient than waiting for my go pro to die and trying to recharge it.

cant go wrong with a back up battery for the Go Pro 3 when out on the slopes, water, boat, hunting, range don't want to limit the shots you take by the battery going dead, always be prepared the "Boy Scout Way" with back up at the cost of 11 bucks on sale should have got two for price of one!
