The GOPro is a great camera but it does eat up battery life. An additional battery will give you more flexibility to shoot longer videos. Don't miss out on a great video because your battery ran dead.

GoPro's can't exactly hold the biggest battery packs, so it's good to have extras. They do okay but when you're doing some long term shooting they're a must. I've owned 4 of these for the Hero3 and they're all reliable, and continue to give a really solid charge. The only one I've lost is one I put in a pocket after it was used and unfortunately through it in the washer. The GoPro may have a waterproof case, but the batteries don't ;)

I have 2 GoPros and just recently bought 2 extra batteries for them and holy cow has that made my life easier! I dont have to worry about my gopro dying after an 8 hour day on the mountain or in the water because I can easily carry the extra batteries with me and replace them for several more hours of filming time! If you have a gopro you want the extra battery, trust me if you run out and you miss something awesome you are going to totally bum out, dont wait!

it charges fast and last sufficiently long. I would love for it to be cheaper, they sell so many separate things like a charger with battery in a lower price would be great

Great battery and a must-have as a back-up. My Hero3 uses this battery's power like nothing. I am a bit dissapointed in the battery life span, but also expected judging from the size. That is the only reason I gave it a 4/5 star rating, but anything I buy from GoPro, I know I am going to be quite satisfied. Highly recommend this battery if you are going to be shooting a lot.

What can I say, it's a spare battery. Nothing worse then being out and running down the battery and not being able to charge it up, pop and swap it and your recording again.

These are great! Coupled with its USB charger and you can charge these on-the-go. Extra batteries when you need them. Fairly cheap so I bought a few of them at one time.

I was taking my wife on an anniversary cruise to Mexico and needed an extra battery for my GoPro. I needed it in a hurry, so I loved the fact that Best Buy matched an online retailer's price, and I didn't have to wait to get it through the mail. With the new battery, I could take my camera out for an entire afternoon of fun without having to worry about running out of juice. I got some great underwater snorkeling video!

Excellent designs and storage capacity. Used 1 battery all day and left the others in my storage case for the next day. Thanks Best Buy for a great sale price too.

Have 3 of these now and I'm never out of juice...long lasting and quick charging...

Bought extra so we would have lots of time for two cameras while out shooting during snorkeling. Works better than the knock offs that I had purchased.

I needed a new battery for my go pro. So off to Best Buy we went. Also like to look around and see what other technology is out or soon to be released. Everyone is always so helpful except for one male employee he is just the worst rude and avoids people. Asked for help a few time but get dismissed or lead over to another employee. Yet when we go in he us still there????

Bought a couple after market batteries.. they do not seem to last as long as the real deal... records just as long as the battery that came with my GoPro.

This battery holds power very good. Compact and light. A must to have.

This is another product that gives you some extra security. You've got it charged and your ready to go. I think it's a must have especially for the go pro.

I purchased this as a second battery for my gopro. Battery life isn't that great on these cameras so it it an ideal way to keep the camera rolling.

Go pro 3's go through batteries fast with an LCD back pack screen. You need a back up battery to get through life. Charge one while you use the other.

Was sold the wrong battery! But did exchange for the right one. If you are planning an all day trip, you will need two fully charged batteries!

I have three and there is a reason... The battery life is not great when doing 1080 video so having a spare is needed when I'm shooting scenes when guiding fly fishermen. The good news is they charge fast and change out really easily ---
