If you use your GoPro for long periods, then you should invest in an extra battery or an external battery pack.

the battery is basically the same as the one that comes with the camera

The GoPro Battery gets the job done! See your manual for recording times based on the format you are shooting, but these do fairly nice job, but have not compare them to other aftermarket batteries. They charge fairly quick, and again just a good idea to have extra one standing by on ready.

Great deal for a name brand batter. Wish the batteries lasted longer but for that price I will just buy more.

It does what it should, powers the Go Pro, wish it had a better lifespan, but that is why you recharge them!

Got a go pro and needed everything for it. I got this but then got the external battery for longer uses.

I don't need to charge my batteries on the camera anymore. Small, good construction, fast, and good price.

GoPro products are the only way to go for your GoPro camera. Great camera for beginners and/or experts

We love the Go Pro...looking forward to using it again on our trip this year...hence the recent purchase.

As great as the GoPro is, extra batteries are mandatory in order to use it for more than 25 minutes at a time. If you plan on taking your GoPro out for the day and especially if you have the touch back, you will need a small handful of batteries. Thankfully they are quick to charge and not expensive.

If you buy the camera, get a back up battery, its a must have if you want to record for >2hrs at a time

Extra batteries are a must have. Good barberry life and small and compact. A solid buy.

always need a backup battery. i use this after my battery bacpac and regular battery are used up

So far, works good. Bought it when my original battery seemed to die after about 40 minutes.

This is a great battery as are all other GoPro products. You can't go wrong with buying original GoPro replacement batteries. The only thing I do not like is that I think it is over priced compared to non GoPro battery replacements. There are several online non GoPro battery replacements that you can buy that are half the price. In most cases you can get two battery plus a charger for less that buying GoPro battery replacements.

On vacation it's always good to have an extra battery on hand so you don't miss the good one!!

Love the GoPros! This is nice to have as a back up in case you run out of power for the GoPro.
