There are always more things that need to be filmed and you need to be prepared with your backup battery.

Longer Life Than Standard Hero3 Battery

I get an extra 12 minutes of record time, only downside is the price of the battery.

Make sure it's the right GoPro battery!

I accidentally bought the wrong one (didn't even realize there was more than one type) and had to exchange it. Best Buy exchanged it no problem but I still had to go back in and all that.

Spare battery for the Hero 3+

There are no differences, it charges the exact same way over the exact same time. Bought this item to make sure I would have some backup power for longer trips.

Great Battery

It's just like the original battery that came with the GoPro. I prefered to stay with the GoPro brand instead of the other brands. It works and fits just the same.

The only thing that would make it better is a stand alone charger. So one could be charging while the other is being used.
